o December 7: Then And

twelve years ago – with almost the same number of dead (around 3,000). We
responded by half-heartedly fighting futile wars which we announced in advance
we didn't intend to win. In 1942, did Douglas MacArthur set a timetable for
withdrawal from the Pacific? We have doggedly refused to identify the enemy

...In the meantime, we twice elected an anti-American who spits on
our traditions, tramples the Constitution, apologizes for our greatness and
facilitates our enemies' rise to power. Obama is still smarting about the

a proud, confident and resilient people. We took responsibility for our actions.
We looked out for each other. Church attendance was high. Kids actually learned
In his book, "December 1941: 31 days That Changed America And Saved
The World," Craig Shirley wrote that in the 1940s "a high-school diploma was a
hard-earned document and those young Americans who received a diploma had
language skills, writing skills, citizenship skills, geology, biology, physics,
Latin, Greek and an expansive list of books to read." In the early ‘80s John
Silber, then president of Boston University, said a high-school diploma
signified that someone had been "institutionalized" for 4 years, and nothing

Are Christians To Blame For Today’s America? by Dave
Jolly - When I look at America today and see the mess it’s in, I can’t help
but blame Christians and not the liberals. Yes, you may be shocked and
outraged by my statement, but allow me to explain. Ever since the 1960s when the
Supreme Court started ruling against God, the Bible, prayer, Jesus and anything
Christian, too many Christians removed themselves from doing anything to stop or
reverse what was happening. Politics is known as a dirty profession and
many Christians believed that no Christian should get involved in politics
because of it. Others mistook the biblical teaching of not being part of
this world. They have the attitude that God is in control and He’ll work
That folks, is a Christian cop out that really says that Christians
are too lazy or too afraid to stand up in the world and make a difference.
Let me ask you this, if Moses had the attitude that God was in charge and He
would work everything out, he wouldn’t have faced the possibility of death by
confronting Pharaoh and Jews would still be slaves in Egypt. If Joshua had
that same attitude, he never would have led the armies that conquered the
Promise Land for God’s people.
...Better yet, what about our Founding Fathers? What if they
had taken the attitude that God will deal with the British because He’s in
control and will work everything out? Had they had the attitude of many of
today’s Christians, we would still be singing God Save the Queen, our flag would
have a union jack in place of the stars, we would be driving on the wrong side
of the road and our money would make no sense whatsoever. In the 2012 election,
I can’t tell you how many Christians told me that they weren’t voting because
they could not endorse Romney because he’s a Mormon or Obama because he’s, well,
I can’t say he’s a Muslim, but he seems to act more like one than he does a
Christian. Other Christians say that we are not be part of the world and
that since God is in control, it doesn’t matter how they vote. If several
million other Christians refused to vote for the same reasons, then they very
well could be responsible for allowing Obama to be re-elected and continue his
attack on Christianity.
...Christians also fail to understand that if they withdraw from
trying to make a difference, that it leaves the leadership of our nation to the
anti-Christian liberals who are now about to destroy America. Christians’
inactions allowed others to take action and change the face of our nation.
Christian silence has allowed the anti-Christian liberals to speak and they have
taken full advantage of the silence. As long as Christians remain silent,
we will continue to see our nation go down the proverbial toilet.
The Tragic Inaction of the Church By
JOY ALLMOND/BILLYGRAHAM.ORG - The author of several books, Eric Metaxas is
perhaps best known for Amazing Grace: William Wilberforce and the Heroic
Campaign to End Slavery and Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy. He often
provides commentary on the subject ofreligious freedom.
...Before we can take on our role as the church in areas like
social justice activism and preserving society, we must be aware of our current
freedoms and our position in regard to the state. “There is a fundamental
misunderstanding of the separation of church and state. The church is to be
protected from the state. Not the reverse," explains Metaxas. "People have
divorced faith from public life, mostly because of this misunderstanding.” We
have also confused the terms freedom of worship with freedom of religion. So,
what is the difference?
...“When Christian voices are stifled, salt and light are removed
from the culture. We see Jackie Robinson exercise his faith on the baseball
field and was instrumental in the civil rights movement. And, of course,
Wilberforce and Bonhoeffer did what they did because they publicly exercised
their faith,” Metaxas points out. In all of these cases and countless others,
faith played a role in expanding freedom, blessing the nation, and ministering
to the outcast. Metaxas continues, “When you stifle voices of faith, you destroy
all of those opportunities to live out faith by doing good things. So, when we
as believers lose religious freedom, everyone loses.”

Harvard Poll: Majority Of Youngest Voters Disapprove of Obamacare, Would Recall

Harvard University poll released Wednesday.
Special MA election for Congress this Tuesday. Pro-family Republican being
snubbed by GOP (a disturbing trend). Up against radical anti-family pro-LGBT
Democrat. (MassResistance.org) Ho - hum. Another day, another pro-family
Republican congressional candidate being thrown under the bus by the GOP
establishment. But this time it's especially upsetting because this is a special
election -- next Tuesday, Dec. 10 -- against a particularly odious radical
Democrat. You may recall that in the 2012 general election, the national (and
local Massachusetts) Republican establishment put considerable financial
resources behind Richard

Congress, who unsuccessfully tried to unseat the Democrat incumbent, John

TOP DOCTOR: 'GAY' BLOOD WILL TAINT U.S. SUPPLY --- 'Validating people's feelings
is not our job' By CHELSEA
SCHILLING - Should homosexual men – a group with the highest HIV-infection
rates in the nation – be allowed to donate blood? That’s the question the
federal government is considering this week as it re-evaluates whether it should
lift the 30-year ban on homosexual blood donation. ...Dr. Jay Brooks, an expert
in blood banking and transfusion at the University of Florida’s College of
Medicine, told WND the problem with “donations from men who’ve had sex with men
is that they have a much higher prevalence of HIV than the heterosexual
community.” “They have a much higher prevalence,” he emphasized.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or CDC,
released a 2010 analysis of heavily affected populations showing “men who have
sex with men,” or MSM, account for a
large majority of new HIV infections, much more so than even injection drug
users, or IDUs:
CDC estimates of new HIV infections in 2010 show homosexual men have a much
higher incidence of HIV infection than other groups, including injection drug
users, or IDUs
In fact, “CDC estimates that MSM represent approximated 4 percent of the
male population in the United States, but male-to-male sex accounted for more
than three-fourths (78 percent) of new HIV infections among men and nearly
two-thirds (63 percent) of all new infections in 2010.” An estimated 1.1 million
Americans are currently infected with HIV, and at least one quarter of those are
said to be unaware of their infection. While some people experience symptoms
early, others go years without experiencing any signs.
Health Curriculum Frameworks - Why we oppose the sex education mandate
(Massachusetts Family Institute) The Massachusetts legislature is considering a
proposal to mandate a particular sex education curriculum for schools across the
state. Unlike topics such as math and science, there is no public consensus
regarding sex education. Currently the Health Curriculum Frameworks are
available to school districts and educators, but each school system is free to
customize them based on the needs of their student populations and parents.
These bills would eliminate that option.

The truth comes out, gays admit ENDA is a ploy to outlaw Christian morality
Parker - t's being called, "one of the most dangerous and discriminatory
pieces of legislation in modern times, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act,”
or ENDA. ENDA passed the U.S.
Senate in early November with a vote of 64-32. According to the reports, ten
Republicans joined liberal Democrats in passing this bill. It's also said the
effort of ENDA is "to ultimately outlaw the Judeo-Christian sexual ethic."
The word is, from the supporters of the bill, that ENDA would
"merely insulate those who choose to engage in same-sex conduct." It supposedly
would also protect those who are said to suffer from gender identity crisis
against employment intolerance. However, the truth of the matter is that this
legislation would "codify the very thing it purports to combat: workplace
discrimination." Gay activists want to eliminate all religious exemptions and
enforce Christians to
violate their faith and accept the lifestyle of the LGBT community.
If LGBT activists get their way, this would mean that Christians would be forced
under penalty of law to abandon their viewpoints of Biblical and
traditional-values on human sexuality. WND also reports it
would force "churches, mosques, synagogues, religious schools, Bible bookstores,
as well as any and every other business in America with 15 or more employees, to
hire (and otherwise not offend) those who openly flaunt expressly sinful and
demonstrably self-destructive sexual behaviors."
o Who is
Jesus Christ and Who is Irrational? By Mike
A sixty-seven year old proud atheist friend of mine recently interjected the
sweeping statement “all religion is irrational” into one of our conversations. I
replied, not with a direct rebuttal but, instead, with the unexpected question,
“who is Jesus Christ?” He replied, “I don’t know.” If I were to ask some of you
why I pulled that question out of left field you might also reply with a
bewildered “I don’t know.” So keep reading. Please.
If you have never really pondered the question “who is Jesus
Christ?” then you simply cannot consider yourself to be a committed intellectual
– at least not yet. Let me say that in a different way: if you have never given
serious thought to the true identity of the most important individual ever to
walk the face of the earth then you are either a) suffering from severe
intellectual hernia, or b) possessed of an intellect impaired by a fear of
knowing the true answer to the question.
Let me begin by defending the assertion that Jesus Christ was the
most important individual ever to walk the face of the earth. 1) We divide time
using the date of Jesus’ birth. 2) More books have been written about Jesus than
anyone else in recorded history. Case closed. Now we can move on to the issue of
fear and intellectual curiosity.
The options we are given for understanding the identity of Jesus
are so limited that no one who is truly intelligent can be behaving rationally
if he just avoids the question altogether. Take, for example, my friend who has
lived 2/3 of a century on this planet without so much as attempting to work
through the options. I don’t want you to be one of those irrational people so
let’s get to work. When addressing the question of Jesus’ identity, there are
only four available options. Anyone who has ever read C.S. Lewis or Josh
McDowell knows that Jesus was either: 1) A legend, 2) a lunatic, 3) a liar, or
4) the Lord.
development' the evil facing America By Tom
DeWeese - All of us just want to live in an America where our rights and
pursuit of happiness is protected. And so we fight. And now we've found
ourselves here today in a room with hundreds of others in the same boat. We
Can't Win This Way. I have one thing to tell you. You are not going to win in
the manner we are fighting now. Because the other side has cut us up into little
pieces. They've divided us and conquered us.
They've succeeded because you think your fight is against gun
control. Because you think your fight is against bad schools. Because you think
your fight is against the Endangered Species Act and roadless programs, and
wetlands regulations, and water rights and Heritage Areas. Because you think
your fight is against Democrats and not Republicans. Because you think it's a
fight between evil liberals and good guy conservatives.
You're wrong. Your fight is against a well-planned, well
orchestrated agenda for the complete transformation of America. And unless you
learn that fact now, today... and unless you fully educate yourselves to every
aspect of that agenda and fight it on the proper terms... then you cannot win!
I'm here to tell you that every one of these issues you are facing
is interrelated. There is an agenda being implemented before your very eyes.
It's called Sustainable Development.
o Liberals gone
wild over Klayman speech By Larry
Klayman - During my speech, which can be seen and heard at
freedomwatchusa.org and occupywashington.us,
I spoke of the nation's founding and heritage, how it has ethically and morally
declined in its brief 237-year history, particularly under President Barack
Hussein Obama, and, in the spirit of Thomas Jefferson, our great Founding
Father, drafter of the Declaration of Independence and third president,
challenged all Americans to wage a second American revolution to restore the
principles of freedom, honesty, ethics and respect for the Constitution upon
which this nation was founded. Departing somewhat from Jefferson for the time
being, who advocated force when necessary – ("[w]hat signify a few lives lost in
a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with
the blood of patriots and tyrants") – I urged the crowd and those watching on
television to use non-violent, peaceful disobedience to accomplish our
objectives in the style of Gandhi, Martin Luther King and others who have
successfully used these tactics to positively change the course of history and
gain and preserve freedom for their people.
In the course of my speech, I also metaphorically stated that our
current president bows down to Allah. I challenged Obama, who has repeatedly
shown his pro-Muslim bias over the Judeo-Christian values of our Founding
Fathers, to get up off his knees, put the Qur'an down, and to figuratively come
out of the White House with his hands up, and resign.
Poring over the speeches that day, primarily the liberal media
picked up on my metaphors and broadcasted disparaging statements about them to
try to discredit the Tea Partiers who were present that day. They did the same
with the speeches of Senators Cruz and Lee, as well as Governor Sarah Palin,
adding for "good measure" that they had endorsed a Confederate Flag that one
person in the crowd had brought to the event – more than suggesting, as has
become the norm from the left, that we Tea Partiers are a racist bunch. As a
result of this liberal attack, I personally have received hundreds of emails and
texts from leftist and Muslim supporters of President Obama berating and
threatening me with harm or death.
o Common Core
would make any communist regime proud By Gina
Miller - Let's just jump right in here to the crux of the Common Core
"State" Standards with an excerpt from the paper, "History
of Education in Communist Countries," by Hae Yoon Jeong, 2009, Korean Minjok
The communist revolutions in the 20th century had their goal at
creating total revolutions and establishing a new society different from the
capitalist society. This new society required people with new loyalties, new
motivations, and new concepts of individual and group life. Education was
acknowledged to have a strategic role in achieving this revolution and
development. Specifically, education was used to produce ardent revolutionaries
ready to rebel against the old society and establish a new order and also to
bring up a new generation of dexterous laborers to take up the various tasks of
development and modernization.
Where do public school teachers send their own kids? LARRY ELDER — Guy walks
into a restaurant. Says to the waitress, "I'd like some scrambled eggs and some
kind words." She brings the eggs. The guy smiles, "Now how about the kind
words?" Waitress whispers, "Don't eat the eggs."... About 11 percent of all
parents — nationwide, rural and urban — send their children to private schools.
The numbers are much higher in urban areas. One study found that in Philadelphia
a staggering 44 percent of public school teachers send their own kids to private
schools. In Cincinnati and Chicago, 41 and 39 percent of public school teachers,
respectively, pay for a private school education for their children. In
Rochester, New York, it’s 38 percent. In Baltimore it’s 35 percent, San
Francisco is 34 percent and New York-Northeastern New Jersey is 33 percent. In
Los Angeles nearly 25 percent of public school teachers send their kids to
private school versus 16 percent of Angelenos who do so. The study, conducted in
2004 by the Fordham Institute, said: “These findings … are apt to be
embarrassing for teacher unions, considering those organizations’ political
animus toward assisting families to select among schools.
o Insight (PatriotPost.us)
- American political consultant and author Lyn Nofziger (1924-2006): "The reason
this country continues its drift toward socialism and big nanny government is
because too many people vote in the expectation of getting something for
nothing, not because they have a concern for what is good for the country. A
better educated electorate might change the reason many persons vote. If
children were forced to learn about the Constitution, about how government
works, about how this nation came into being, about taxes and about how
government forever threatens the cause of liberty perhaps we wouldn't see so
many foolish ideas coming out of the mouths of silly old men."
Liberals Go Hysterical Over List of 252 Examples of Obama’s Lying, Corruption,
Bombshell: Sen. Rand Paul Reveals — Barack Obama Wrote The Regulation To Cancel
Your Insurance, And Every Democrat Voted For It! -
Before It’s News By SGTReport.com: - If you, like I, have brainwashed,
intellectually dishonest, “liberal” friends who still insist on giving Barack
Obama a pass for every rotten thing he has ever done, you might want to make
them aware of this additional fact. According to Senator Rand Paul, who spoke at
a luncheon in Charleston, South Carolina on Monday, November 11, the President
of the United States himself wrote the regulation to cancel the health insurance
of MILLIONS of Americans. And every single Democrat voted for it.
“I’m still learning about it. It’s 20,000 pages of regulations. The
Bill was 2,000 pages and I didn’t realize this until this week, the whole idea
of you losing or getting your insurance cancelled wasn’t in the original
Obamacare. It was a regulation WRITTEN BY PRESIDENT OBAMA, three months later.
So we had a vote, this is before I got up there.
The Republicans had a vote to try to cancel that regulation so you
COULDN’T BE CANCELLED, to grandfather everybody in. You know what the vote was?
Straight party line. EVERY DEMOCRAT VOTED TO KEEP THE RULE THAT CANCELS YOUR
INSURANCE.” As the now 20,000+ Obamacare pages come home to roost, remind those
who have continued to support the Liar-in-Chief, regardless of his crimes, of
this simple fact: The man who sits in the Oval Office (when he’s not on a golf
course), and the Party to which they have pledged their unquestioning
allegiance, has now wholly betrayed them. And their children
VALERIE JARRETT TARGETS HOBBY LOBBY AS A ‘CORPORATE ENTITY’ TRYING TO ‘SEIZE A
CONTROLLING INTEREST’ OVER WOMEN’S HEALTH By Fred
Lucas - “No corporate entity should be in position to limit women’s legal
access to care, or to seize a controlling interest over the health care choices
of women,” Jarrett wrote on
the White House blog. “To take that type of power away from individuals, and to
let the personal beliefs of a woman’s boss dictate her health care choices would
constitute a major step backward for women’s health and self-determination.”
...The two litigants in the case are not trying to restrict
anyone’s freedom, said Sarah Torre, policy analyst for the Heritage Foundation,
a conservative think tank. “This is an interesting argument from the
administration that pushed a health care law that severely restrictions the
ability for Americans to choose health care that aligns with the value of their
family and restricting companies that could be creating jobs,” Torre told
TheBlaze. “Obamacare is about restricting choices.” “No one is suggesting a ban
on anything,” Torre continued. “This is about family businesses – the Green
family and the Hahns family – about their freedom to continue to create jobs
while respecting their values.”
George Will - “100 million people get their insurance from Medicare and
Medicaid, 171 million get it from their employers,” Will said. “Watch the

too low, we’re not seeing Medicaid patients,’ then all hell is going to break
Obama's Disdain For The Constitution Means We Risk Losing Our Republic By M.
Northrop Buechner - If the President persists in rejecting all authority other
than his own, the denouement would depend on the side taken by the Armed Forces.
Whatever side that was, our national self-esteem would be unlikely to recover
from the blow of finding that we are living in a banana republic. The shocking
fact is that our whole system of representative government depends on it being
led by an individual who believes in it; who thinks it is valuable; who believes
that a government dedicated to the protection of individual rights is a noble
ideal. What if he does not?
Mr. Obama is moving our government away from its traditional system
of checks and balances and toward the one-man-rule that dominates third world
countries. He has said that he wants a fair country—implying that, as it stands,
the United States is not a fair country—an unprecedented calumny committed
against a country by its own leader. What country does he think is more fair
than the United States? He has three long years left in which to turn us into a
fair country. Where does he intend to take us?
...Mr. Obama got his conception of a fair country from his
teachers. A fair country is an unfree country because it is regimented to
prevent anyone from rising too high. Their ideal is egalitarianism, the notion
that no one should be any better, higher, or richer than anyone else. Combined
with a dollop of totalitarianism, egalitarianism has replaced communism as the
dominant ideal in our most prestigious universities. Mr. Obama and his
colleagues are the product of those universities, and they have their marching
orders. The most important point is that Mr. Obama does not consider himself
bound by the Constitution. He could not have made that more clear. He has drawn
a line in the concrete and we cannot ignore it.

The Road To Serfdom By Fredrich A. Hayek - In his introduction to the
American edition ...published in 1944, economic historian John Chamberlain wrote
that "this book is a warning to the British and by implication to the Americans:
Stop, look, an listen...'full employment,' 'social security,' and 'freedom from
want' cannot be had unless they come as by-products of a system that releases
the free energies of individuals."
...Many socialists have the tragic illusion that by depriving private
individuals of the power they possess in an individualist system, and
transferring this power to society, they thereby extinguish power. What they
overlook is that, by concentrating power so that it can be used in the service
of a single plan, it is not merely transformed, but infinitely heightened. By
uniting in the hands of some single body power formerly exercised independently
by many, an amount of power is created infinitely greater than any that existed
before, so much more far-reaching as almost to be different in kind.
...Who can seriously doubt that the power which a millionaire, who
may be my employer, has over me is very much less than that which the smallest
bureaucrat possesses who wields the coercive power of the state and on whose
discretion it depends how I am allowed to live and work?

o Media Bias
Strikes Again By Onan Coca
- Do you have any liberal friends who do that dramatic eye-roll anytime you
mention the fact that the main stream media is hopelessly biased toward liberal
policies and personalities? I do. I can even feel them doing the eye-roll thing
when I am talking to them on the phone, or conversing with them over the
internet. They always get that preachy and patronizing tone, “Oh you silly
conservative. Of course the media isn’t biased. You’re ideas are just super
wrong!” It doesn’t really make me mad anymore, my psychiatrist gave me one of
those stress ball things and I am really much calmer now. No, it doesn’t make me
mad so much as it disappoints me. Most of the people are relatively intelligent
beings who simply seem to be blinded to the fact that they could very well be
wrong about some of their ideas. It disappoints me that they so blindly trust
the people feeding them this slanted information on the way they believe life to
really be. Well, I have some new ammo for them the next time we discuss the bias
in media. Two recent studies done about our media’s recent coverage of the
Shutdown and the Obamacare Rollout show that our main stream media ain’t doing
such a good job.
...In a new report from the
Media Research Center we learn that the major network media blamed
Republicans 41 times in their stories about the shutdown. In another 17 stories,
the media blamed both parties. But there is not one instance of the media
running a story that only blamed the Democrat Party. Not a single one. How about
an example of the pain caused by the shutdown? NBC correspondent Miguel Almaguer
profiled another out-of-work federal employee: “Wendy Robinson has been
furloughed. A single mom with three mouths to feed, today she got her last
paycheck. Robinson blames Congress.” Moments later, NBC viewers heard Robinson
complaining: “I’m at a loss for words, really, about it because I’m not used to
not giving my kids a Christmas.” Four days out of work, and Christmas is
cancelled? Apparently, someone forgot to tell both Almaguer and Ms. Robinson
that all of the furloughed federal workers will be receiving back pay for the
time they missed. Methinks maybe NBC was being a little dramatic with Ms.
Robinson’s story. Meanwhile, in a second study undertaken by the good people at
Report, we learn that over the last few weeks, media coverage of the
Obamacare rollout was less than ideal. In fact, the media chose to cover
“victims” of the government shutdown more than victims of the Obamacare rollout
more than 100 to 1!
...The media has become so obviously biased that they don’t even
mind admitting it anymore (here and here are
two recent examples). In fact, Media fairness defenders have become so
obstinately blinded to truth that they may as well be viewed with the same sort
of desperation that we look upon conspiracy crackpots sitting in their mother’s
basements playing video games. Yep, it’s that bad. So the next time a liberal
tries to tell you that the main stream media isn’t biased, just roll your eyes
and hand them a tin-foil hat.

as high as almost $13,000. Couple that with co-pays of up to 40%.
...The Chicago Tribune found that if Adam Weldzius, a nurse
practitioner and 33-year-old single father living in Carpentersville, Illinois,
wanted to keep the same level of coverage next year as what he has now with the
same insurer and the same network of doctors and hospitals as Obama promised he
could, his monthly premium of $233 would more than double. To keep his premiums
at the same level for himself and his 7-year-old daughter, his annual deductible
would be $12,700 vs. $3,500 today and there was no mention of the co-pay.
The Tribune also discovered, “21 of the 22 lowest-priced plans offered on the
Illinois health insurance exchange for Cook County have annual deductibles of
more than $4,000 for an individual and $8,000 for family coverage.”
The Christian Science Monitor reported on a North Carolina family
that had been buying Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance for $380-a-month. “BCBS is
offering them a new plan for three times the cost, $1,124.50 a month, still with
an $11,000 deductible.” Here’s a reality check question: How many working class
average American families will be able to afford this? Not many.
Of course this devious plan is all by design. For the average
family without exceptional medical expenses, ObamaCare insurance will NEVER kick
in one dime of coverage. High premiums will be paid, all for the privilege of
paying most, if not all, yearly medical expenses out of pocket. What a deal! A
So this is what will actually end up occurring. Those who least can afford
it will eventually be forced to purchase these extremely high deductible health
plans. Many will barely be able to afford the drastic hike in monthly premium,
but will somehow swing it by cutting back in other areas. Something the
government knows nothing about and will never do.
Due to high deductibles and co-pays, family healthcare will begin
to take a back seat to other necessities, you know, like food and
shelter. Again, those who can least afford to, will no longer see their doctor
for what are initially thought to be relatively minor ailments. As these “minor”
ailments persist, they will eventually worsen, possibly to the point of
hospitalization. And that’s where the real money must be shelled out,
bankrupting many. It’s human nature. People will put these ailments off until
they are no longer able to and by then, for some, it will be too late.
o Racial Trade-Offs: Part II
By Walter E. Williams -
President Obama, the Congressional Black Caucus, black state and local
politicians, and civil rights organizations are neither naive nor stupid. They
have been made aware of the unemployment effects of the labor laws they support;
however, they are part of a political coalition. In order to get labor unions,
environmental groups, business groups and other vested interests to support
their handout agenda and make campaign contributions, they must give political
support to what these groups want. They must support minimum wage increases even
though the increases condemn generations of black youths to high unemployment
rates. They must support Davis-Bacon Act restrictions even though those
restrictions handicap black contractors and nonunion construction workers. I
can't imagine what black politicians and civil rights groups are getting that's
worth condemning black youths to a high rate of unemployment and its devastating
effects on upward economic mobility, but then again, I'm not a politician.
o A criminal
enterprise called the Democratic Party By Alan
Caruba - The President and the Democratic Party want all the restrictions on
their capacity to spend tax dollars lifted. They want an end to the
sequestration that curbs the natural inclination of government departments and
agencies to spend taxpayer dollars as fast as the Federal Reserve can print
them. The Reserve in turn has been purchasing $85 billion in the nation's debt
every month to maintain the fiction that the nation can pay its bills despite
the fact that it has more debt than the entire national economy – the Gross
Domestic Product – generates every year.
And who tripled that debt in just his first term? Obama.A new book
by Clark M. Neilly III, "Terms of Engagement: How Our Courts Should Enforce the
Constitution's Promise of Limited Government" ($23.99, Encounter Books) says
bluntly that "We are drowning in a sea of unconstitutional regulations that
compel obedience, stifle innovation, and punish morally blameless conduct."
"Heedless of the constitutional limits on its own power," says Neilly, "and
indulged by a quiescent judiciary, the federal government now spends 24 percent
of our gross domestic product, the highest proportion since World War II."
Neilly is a senior attorney at the Institute for Justice where he
litigates constitutional cases involving economic liberty, property rights, free
speech, and school choice. He is the modern version of the biblical Jeremiah
raising his voice to warn of what is to come if Congress and the courts do not
begin to obey the limits the Constitution sets forth so clearly that anyone can
understand them. "In 2013, a series of scandals involving the Internal Revenue
Service, the National Security Agency, the Department of Justice, the Department
of Agriculture, and other federal agencies reminded Americans about the hazards
of free-wheeling government," says Neilly.
"And in light of the Supreme Court's decision upholding the Patient
Protection and Affordable Care Act, commonly known as 'Obamacare,' Congress can
even tell people how to spend their money by penalizing those who refuse to buy
things it thinks they should have, like government approved health insurance.
Congress has no legitimate power to do that, which is why the Supreme Court had
to pretend the penalty was actually a tax." Suffice to say that Neilly is
extremely critical of the failure of the judicial system to uphold the
Constitution and the current state of government in America today. "As far as
the government is concerned, it is your boss, setting policies and issuing
edicts that you will obey. Between that awesome power and you stands the
o Is Obama creating
a martial-law-ready military? By Selwyn
Duke - What kind of leader wants a military more loyal to himself than to
the rule of law? And why? These are two questions to ponder when considering the
strange happenings in the armed forces since Barack Obama took office. Let's
start with a hypothetical. Let's say you were a hard-left-wing commander in
chief who wanted the military firmly in your corner. You'd certainly note that
our armed forces have been a bastion of conservatism and Christian faith, and
you'd know that its members generally weren't very fond of you. So how would you
go about changing this?
...The Obama administration has given affirmative action in the
military a dose of steroids, promoting minorities and women – and, I believe,
homosexuals and lesbians – at the expense of white men. By the way, is this yet
another reason why Obama wanted homosexuals to be able to serve openly? After
all, you can't target them for special treatment if you don't know who they are.
But the point is this: if I were that hypothetical hard-left-wing leader, I'd
know that one way to change the military's political climate is the same way you
do it in the nation at large. Demographic manipulation. White men generally vote
Republican, white military men even more so, and white military men who are
practicing Christians, well, that's a recipe for a left-behind left. Minorities,
women, atheists and the LGBT* crowd, however, are reliable liberal
constituencies. So what would I do if I were that hard leftist? I'd create a
military climate friendly toward groups that are my constituencies and hostile
toward those that aren't.
...And I'd do more than subordinate white men to other groups in
the promotion process. I'd clamp
down on Christian expression – which had often been robust in the military –
and punish servicemen who transgressed against my
separation-of-church-and-everything policy. I'd let the world know that as far
as homosexuality goes, the armed services are open for monkey business. I'd also
force military personnel to be politically correct not just about sexuality,
but also Islam, so that they were confronted with the choice of saying
things they don't believe or career damage. After all, good people might rather
leave the service than live a lie. And I'd issue instructional
materials characterizing traditionalists as a threat, so that the
low-information servicemen may believe it and the more savvy would feel further
alienated. The goal here is to create a situation in which traditionalists will
be encouraged to leave the military or not enlist in the first place.

The Democrats' Holy War on Voter ID By ROBERT KNIGHT - Less than 10 years

say such laws are “racist.” Instead of working to ensure election integrity,
Democrats are vigorously waging a holy war on state voter ID laws. Attorney

Obama Orders IRS to Shutdown Non-Profits That Speak Out Against Him by Dave
Jolly - Remember the IRS scandal that erupted after last year’s elections?
The IRS had intentionally targeted Tea Party, patriotic, Christian and other
conservative groups applying for non-profit tax status. They delayed the
applications for as much as three years and tried to demand information that was
not pertinent to the application process, even though Obama’s brother’s
non-profit got his non-profit status in just over 30 days after being in
violation of acting as a non-profit for over 2 years.
...In another dictatorial move to squelch any and all opposition to
his socialist dictatorship, President Obama’s administration has ordered the IRS
to take action against all non-profits classified as social welfare 501(c)4
groups involved in political activities. This move appears to be targeting
conservative groups and PACs such as Crossroads GPS and Priorities USA, both of
which have been very vocal in their opposition to Obama and his policies. On
Tuesday, the IRS and Treasury Department offered up a new set of rules that
would forbid non-profit organizations from being involved in any
‘candidate-related political activity.’ The banned activities would
include registering voters, distributing campaign literature and running
campaign related advertisements.
Ryan, who founded the Iowa based 501(c)4 non-profit group The American
Future Fund, also told the New York Times: “Unfortunately, it appears that the
same bureaucrats that attempted to suppress the speech of conservative groups in
recent years has now put together new rules that apply to (c)4 groups but do not
apply to liberal groups like labor unions.” “I wish I could say I am surprised,
but I am not."
...One way or another, Obama is bound and determined to stop as
many of his critics as possible, legally or illegally. He doesn’t believe in the
First Amendment rights of free speech and religion. The Constitution and
laws mean nothing to him or his cronies. They will trample anything and
anyone that gets in their way from accomplishing their socialist agenda.

Legislator & Wife Ask Court for Protection During Obamacare Lawsuit Appeal
-- /Christian Newswire/ --
Today, Thomas More Society attorneys filed for preliminary injunctive relief on
behalf of Missouri State Representative Paul Wieland and his wife Teresa in the
couple's lawsuit contesting Obamacare's infringement on their First Amendment
rights. ...The Wielands had previously obtained a health insurance plan that
did not include abortion-inducing drugs and contraceptives. But because of the
Health and Human Services mandate, that plan was eliminated and, without their
permission, the Wielands were transferred to another plan that is contrary to
their Catholic faith. "We liked our health care plan. We should be able to keep
it," Mrs. Wieland said. "It protected our religious beliefs and our rights as
parents." To date, forty for-profit employers have filed lawsuits over the
controversial Obamacare mandate. Thirty-two of the plaintiffs have secured
injunctive relief against the mandate. "There is every reason to expect that the
Wielands will also prevail in their quest to secure their religious liberty,"
said Timothy Belz, special counsel for the Thomas More Society, who is
representing the Wielands.

Longing to be a Victim By John Stossel - Since the 80s, there has been a 300
percent increase in disability claims for hard-to-prove illnesses like back
pain, stress and other 'non-exertional restrictions.' Over the past two decades,
the number of people receiving Social Security disability benefits grew from 4
million to 11 million. ... We all want to help the genuinely disabled, but a
wide range of subjective ailments are affected by attitude. Labeling people
victims, telling them they need help, teaches some to think like victims. Social
scientists call that 'learned helplessness.' Private charities are pretty good
at separating real victims from malingerers. But government is not. Its
one-size-fits-all rules encourage people to act like victims. Whether people
have real physical ailments or just see the economic deck stacked against them,
the most damaging thing say to them is: Give up. You can't make it on your own.
Wait for help. Pessimism changes what we think is possible. It shrinks our
horizons. ... America is full of success stories. But if we obsess over stories
about victimhood, that is what we'll get.

Christian Apologist Responds to Culture's Most Popular Arguments for
Homosexuality BY STOYAN
ZAIMOV - Bringing up pop culture entertainment that seemingly embraces
homosexuality, such as the music of Lady Gaga and the TV show "Glee," he noted
that people are bombarded with the issue on a daily basis. "Unless you live
under a rock, you are probably affected by this issue in one way or another,"
the apologist noted, observing that ideas are usually absorbed into culture.
...Tackling such cultural perceptions, Tucker presented a quote
from a previous issue of Parenting Teens Magazine, which looked at some of the
reasons people leave the church: "Unfortunately, Christianity is often equated
with bigotry, racism, homophobia, and sexism. Today's generation wants nothing
to do with that brand of faith."
The apologist used several examples from nature to illustrate that
reality is objective and that everyone lives in the same reality. He explained
that an apple will always be an apple and not an orange, and that eyes will
always serve for seeing, not hearing. As to how this relates to moral goodness,
he offered as an example an alcoholic person, who is causing damage to his or
her self by drinking, even in a scenario in which it doesn't affect someone
else. "Reason tells us objectively what is actually good for us. The rational
person will pursue what is actually good for them, even if that is opposed to
their feelings or what they desire."
He then moved into the specifics of sex, noting that it's
"undeniable" that the biological purpose of sex is procreation. "Sex wouldn't
exist if it wasn't for procreation," Tucker noted, and added that the second
purpose for sex is an emotional one, "for unity between husband and wife." The
apologist argued that the purposes are connected, so that they facilitate an
"emotional bond between husband and wife to raise children."
Going back to cultural views of arguments against homosexuality,
Tucker offered a statement that many non-Christians accuse Christians of:
"You're just an intolerant, homophobic, hate-filled bigot." He broke down each
of the accusations, noting that "we only tolerate things with which we
disagree." "Real tolerance is 'we have a disagreement, but I respect the right
to your opinion.' But tolerance presupposes that we disagree. All people are
equal, but ideas are not. We can't judge people, but we can judge ideas." "So
homophobia itself – being scared of gay people, or bullying – yeah, it's wrong.
But disagreement does not necessarily mean fear or hatred," he continued. "And I
am offering a reasonable argument for my view – you may disagree, and that's
fine, but I'm not being a bigot."
As for the argument that people are born gay, Tucker insisted that
Younger Generation Has Not Rejected Traditional Marriage Argument, They Haven't
Heard It, Argues Conservative Advocate
NAZWORTH - When asked if the younger generation is a lost cause, Ryan T.
Anderson, William E. Simon Fellow in Religion and Free Society at The Heritage
Foundation, answered, "It's not that the young generation has heard the argument
for marriage and rejected it, it's that they haven't heard the argument for
marriage yet." Anderson compared the fight for marriage to the pro-life cause.
Forty years ago, the same was said about abortion, Anderson explained.
Many assumed that pro-life advocates would slowly die off as
younger generations would become increasingly more pro-choice. But, that is not
what happened. Instead, "we had coalitions form, we had think tanks form, we had
politicians like Ronald Reagan, Ed Meese, Henry Hyde use the bully pulpit and
create policies." And because of that, "my generation is now more pro-life than
my parents generation. ... There's no reason why the same thing can't happen
with the marriage issue," he said. Anderson spoke about the reactions he has
received from students when he goes to secular and liberal colleges and
universities to speak about marriage.
"When I go speaking at these secular, liberal schools, even the
people on the other side will come up afterwards and say to me, 'we've never
heard a rational case for marriage.' The students on our side say, 'you know,
I've always known it because the Bible says so, or the church taught me that,
but now you've given me a philosophical and social science way of thinking about
marriage. You've given me a vocabulary in which to talk to my secular classmates

o The New Narcotic
Bennett - New neurological research reveals that porn is as potently
addictive as heroin or cocaine. ...A growing body of research supports such an
assertion as it relates to a new “narcotic”: internet pornography. The National
Survey on Drug Use and Health estimated that in 2008 there were 1.9
million cocaine users. According to the Central Intelligence Agency, there
are an estimated 2
million heroin users in the United States, with some 600,000 to 800,000
considered hardcore addicts. Compare these numbers to the 40
million regular users of online pornography in America.
Neurological research has revealed that the effect of internet
pornography on the human brain is just as potent—if not more so—than addictive
chemical substances such as cocaine or heroin. In a statement before
Congress, Dr. Jeffrey Satinover, a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, physicist, and
former Fellow in Psychiatry at Yale, cautioned: With the advent of the computer,
the delivery system for this addictive stimulus [internet pornography] has
become nearly resistance-free.
It is as though we have devised a form of heroin 100 times more
powerful than before, usable in the privacy of one’s own home and injected
directly to the brain through the eyes. It’s now available in unlimited supply
via a self-replicating distribution network, glorified as art and protected by
the Constitution. Though pornography, in one form or another, has been around
for most of human history, its content and the way people access and consume it
have drastically changed in the past few decades with the advent of the internet
and related technologies.
The Original Statue of Liberty --/Christian
Newswire/ -- The first monument erected to honor America's Christian
foundation is the National Monument to the Forefathers, and it is the original
Statue of Liberty. But now it is not mentioned in humanistic revisions of
American history. However, it honors religious freedom and the Christian
principles on which America was founded. The largest granite monument standing
81 feet tall, it was commissioned by the Pilgrim Society, designed by Hammatt
Billings of Boston, Massachusetts, completed in 1888, and dedicated in 1889. Its
location is a state park on Allerton Street in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
"Faith" is at the center of the monument. She is 36 feet tall and
weighs 180 tons. She is eloquently clothed and faces Plymouth Harbor and
England, while standing with one foot on Plymouth Rock. Her right hand points to
heaven and her left hand holds a Geneva Bible, the Bible read by the Pilgrims.
This illustrates that America's founding fathers had faith in God. And they
believed that faith is the cornerstone of freedom and the bedrock of the
American republic. The star on Faith's forehead illustrates the divine light
imparting biblical wisdom to every aspect of life. Faith preceded and inspired
the building of the Statue of Liberty standing on Ellis Island. The monument
features the Ten Commandments, and various other biblical epitaphs. Faith is so
important in the struggle to restore liberty and prosperity to America because
the human race is undeniably religious.
Only the Self-Reliant Remain Free By Terence
P. Jeffrey - Self-reliance and freedom are inseparable. Americans once knew
this in their very souls. Now, coaxed by those with a socialistic vision of
government, we are beginning to forget it. We are becoming ever more dependent
on government and putting our freedom at risk. It is as simple as that. The
Census Bureau recently published some remarkable data. As of the end of 2011, it
said, there were approximately 151,014,000 who received one or more benefits
from the federal government. That was 49 percent of the population of the
country, which then stood at 306,804,000.
...For each person in this country who gets up each week day and
goes to work, and works a long day, and does it week after week after week,
there is now more than one other person who is living off the taxes that person
and his fellow full-time workers pay and off the new net debt the Treasury must
continually issue to cover the cost of a government that routinely exceeds tax
...If Obamacare is cemented into American life and culture, the
government will soon be paying for the majority of American's health care and
this government has already demonstrated it is willing to use its leverage over
health care to force people to make immoral decisions on a matter that involves
the deliberate destruction of innocent human life. Government dependency does
not liberate, it enslaves. If America does not recapture its pioneering spirit
soon and begin dismantling the welfare state, it will dismantle us.
Obamacare By Ellis
Washington - Because the academy and the media is dominated by the Left most
of whom hold to a socialist, progressive or postmodern worldview, much of the
history you may have read about the Marxist/Nazi roots of universal healthcare
has been rewritten to obscure any reference to these inconvenient historical
facts. Modeling his government in part after the dictatorship of his
predecessor, Otto von Bismarck, it was Adolf Hitler (1933-45) who actually
forced socialized healthcare on the entire German people as a part of a
comprehensive, systematic nazification
of the German nation including its healthcare industry. For this cause,
Adolf Hitler must be considered one of the founding fathers of universal
healthcare, along with the Soviet Union who had by 1921 established a universal
five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America" –
These were the words of treason Obama uttered on the eve of his election which
he and his progressive minions have been now systematically implementing for
almost six years. This is also the explanation why Obama and the Democratic
Socialist Party so frantically demands universal healthcare in order to achieve
their socialist "life's goal" – which is "to dethrone God and destroy
capitalism," as Karl Marx, the father of socialism and communism once confessed.
But first the socialist and progressive bureaucrats who dominate Washington,
D.C. must deconstruct the rights of the individual in order to be able to
socially engineer their new utopian society which would be unachievable without
a centrally-controlled universal healthcare system where all "undesirables" can
be eradicated at will by the God-state.
Republicans miss the point when they argue that universal
healthcare doesn't work; it works for the progressive elite at the top of the
socialist God-state under the pretext of "health" to remove the "unfit" from
society. Nazicare worked in favor of the Nazi Reich for their purposes to
efficiently eradicate certain classes of people en masse without due process. In
the twenty first century we have much more advanced technology to kill many more
people not only more efficiently, but with the mass acceptance and perfection of
abortion (almost 60 million casualties since Roe v. Wade 40 years ago) mass
killings have become so pass¨¦ America has elected a man twice who between
