Wisdom Challenges
He that has ears to hear
let him hear

Matthew 11:15-27 -  At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Our eternal challenge

John 1:1-14: "He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His received Him not. But as may as received Him, to then gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name; which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

Isaiah 59:2 "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."

John 17:3: "And this is eternal life, that they would  know You, the only true God,
and Whom You sent Jesus Messiah."   (Power New Testament)

The Heritage Foundation's Federal Budget in Pictures offers a unique tool to learn about the federal budget in a clear and compelling way. If America does not change course, the future will be dramatically worse. Now more than ever, it is crucial that Americans understand what our nation's spending, taxes, and debt mean for them and their families.

  • General Douglas MacArthur - "History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral decay have not passed into political and economic decline. There has been either a spiritual awakening to overcome the moral lapse, or a progressive deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster."

o DIVINE LOVE AND ANGER, GRACE AND JUDGMENT - By BILL MUEHLENBERG - It may seem like these pairs are chalk and cheese, but they are in fact two sides of the same coin. Throughout Scripture the anger of God is never seen as distinct from his love, and the grace of God is never separated from his judgment. They belong together, and are all of a piece. But so many people today – including many biblically illiterate believers – somehow think that God can only be one or the other, but not both simultaneously. They really need to go back to their Bibles. We see these running in tandem all throughout God’s Word. Plenty of texts can be examined here, but let me limit myself to just one biblical book: Jeremiah. In this book we find these themes stated constantly. Warnings of coming judgment are mingled with pictures of the broken heart of God – and of Jeremiah. Passages dealing with God’s anger with wayward Israel also exhibit God’s great love for his people. Any attempt to separate these two divine elements or attributes simply cannot be done. So let me examine some of those portions which are relevant here.
There are many commentaries on this important book which can be drawn in here. I have around 16 of them, but let me appeal to just one, which happens to be the newest I have, by Chris Wright. His 450-page commentary for the Bible Speaks Today series has just appeared, and like his earlier commentaries, it is a very good piece of work.
..."The anger of God is the anger of suffering love. It is anger within a deep relationship that he passionately cares for. It is the anger, sodden with grief and pain, that wrestles with profound love in the heart of a betrayed husband or a rejected father. . . . When love is betrayed, there is a perfectly appropriate response of jealousy and anger – not blind rage but open-eyed rejection and repulsion of whatever or whoever has invaded the relationship and threatened its peace and joy."
...So let’s turn to some of these passages. Consider Jer. 3:19-20: “I myself said, ‘How gladly would I treat you like my children and give you a pleasant land, the most beautiful inheritance of any nation. I thought you would call me “Father” and not turn away from following me. But like a woman unfaithful to her husband, so you, Israel, have been unfaithful to me,’ declares the Lord.”
Comments Wright: The lament of verse 20 switches the metaphor back to marriage. Jeremiah feels the pathos of God as the betrayal of both parental and marital love. The love between parent and child and between husband and wife comprise the most profound depths and sublime heights of which human affections are capable. For that very reason they have limitless capacity for causing pain when they are abused or betrayed. The heart of God is torn by the behaviour of an ungrateful delinquent son and an unfaithful promiscuous wife. Once again we must hear the language of God’s judgment through the tears of God’s grief.
Consider also Jer. 11:14-15: “Do not pray for this people or offer any plea or petition for them, because I will not listen when they call to me in the time of their distress. What is my beloved doing in my temple as she, with many others, works out her evil schemes? Can consecrated meat avert your punishment?”
Says Wright: The pain in the heart of God even as he speaks such words is felt in the next line. For who are these people? My beloved! The word is a term of special affection. . . . To be angry with someone you love is extraordinarily painful, especially if the anger is caused by perceived betrayal. But the two emotions are so closely intertwined because each is a legitimate dimension of the other. That is why, when we read so much in Jeremiah of the boiling anger of God, we must see it coming out of a heart filled with love, longing, grief and pain. In his anger, God does not cease to be the God who is love. (See also: Evil? and Judging & Reproof  at EarsToHear.net)

o A country founded by geniuses but run by idiots - By Rev. Austin Miles - This classic analysis was brought to our attention by Frank W. Brown who responded on a blog site with a story about the state of affairs of our government. This is reminiscent of "You Might Be a Red Neck if..." It really sums it all up: (Fro complete list click link.)
If you can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not for entering and remaining in the country illegally – you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If you have to get your parents' permission to go on a field trip or to take an aspirin in school, but not to get an abortion – you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If you MUST show your identification to board an airplane, cash a check, buy liquor, or check out a library book and rent a video, but not to vote for who runs the government – you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
...If your government believes that the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars of debt is to spend trillions more – you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If a seven-year-old boy can be thrown out of school for saying his teacher is "cute," but hosting a sexual exploration or diversity class in grade school is perfectly acceptable – you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If hard work and success are met with higher taxes and more government regulation and intrusion, while not working is rewarded with Food Stamps, WIC checks, Medicaid benefits, subsidized housing, and free cell phones – you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
...If being stripped of your Constitutional right to defend yourself makes you more "safe" according to the government – you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If the media panders to your openly socialist leader while the IRS targets groups with dissenting views – you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

o The nemesis of Agenda21 - By Alan Caruba - Watching left-wing organizations lose their wits denouncing conservatives is always fun and particularly if you know one of their targets. In my case, that would be Tom DeWeese, the founder and president of the American Policy Center; the most expert and outspoken opponent of Agenda21 in the nation. In the early 1990s I sent him a commentary and he published it in The DeWeese Report, a publication of the Center, and thereafter I served as the Center's communications director for a while. These days I am on its board of advisors. He is a patriot and he lives his love for America by devoting himself to educating people to the dangers of the United Nations Agenda 21 with its emphasis on "sustainable development" and a range of issues involving ill-conceived environmental policies and programs, the importance of private property rights, the threat of federal computer banks to individual privacy rights, as well as issues such as federal education policies in our nation's schools.
At the heart of Agenda21 is "sustainable development" which is justified by the global warming hoax that is based on reductions of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other so-called greenhouse gases. The Earth's temperature and climate is determined by the sun. The gases of its atmosphere are in flux as oceans absorb and release CO2, and clouds come and go in a constant dynamic of change. What mankind does has virtually no impact on the weather short-term or the climate long-term.  "Sustainable Development," Tom wrote in "How Global Policy Becomes Local," "is truly stunning in its magnitude to transform the world into feudal-like governance by make nature the central organizing principle for our economy and society. It is a scheme fueled by unsound science and discredited economics that can only lead modern society down the road to a new Dark Age." "It is systematically implemented through the creation of non-elected visioning boards and planning commissions. There is no place in the Sustainable world for individual thought, private property or free enterprise. It is the exact opposite of the free society envisioned by this nation's founders."
I told you he was a patriot, didn't I? Because only patriots feel thqt passionately about individual freedom, property rights, free enterprise, and all those concepts that make Leftists break out in a cold sweat. Among the left-wing groups that do not like Tom is the Southern Poverty Law Center and it devotes a lot of time denouncing him. On their website, the SPLC reveals its own agenda and why Tom is the enemy. "For 20 years now, Tom DeWeese has been on a jihad against global plans for sustainable development." The key word here is "global" as in U.N., not U.S.
Imagine my surprise as I read the SPLC post that said, "Serving on the board of DeWeese's American Policy Center (is) Alan Caruba" and noting that I blog for the Tea Party Nation. I contribute to their blog section, but I do not blog for the group. It should come as no surprise that the SPLC identifies Tea Party Nation as "a hate group." It's a pretty good description of the SPLC!
"DeWeese's outfit," says the SPLC denunciation, "is only one of several obsessed with what has become one of the main conspiracy theories of the antigovernment 'Patriot' movement." What's amusing is the backhanded way SPLC acknowledged his success. "The effect of the fear-mongering fairy tale offered up by DeWeese and other conspiracy theorists have been almost unbelievable. Not only have some counties passed resolutions opposing Agenda21" including the Republican National Committee" in 2012.
DeWeese offers advice to those who visit the APC site on how to stop Agenda21. If "fear-mongering" includes pointing out that the Earth has been in a cooling cycle for the last seventeen years and that wind and solar power is an illusion costing far more than the value of the electricity it produces, then the SPLC has plenty to worry about. America is fortunate to have patriots like Tom DeWeese who take its Constitution and its values so seriously that they devote their lives to protecting them.

o Palin: Why aren't illegals sent to Mark Zuckerberg's neighborhood? - NEWSMAX - Rather than putting illegal immigrant children into middle-class communities, the federal government should be moving them into exclusive liberal enclaves where residents are pro-amnesty -- such as Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg or Microsoft founder Bill Gates -- former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said Saturday at the Western Conservative Summit in Colorado... (more)

o Obama’s Executive Order Discriminates Against Christian Colleges, Organizations - by Bethany Monk - President Obama signed an executive order today that will force Christian universities and organizations to hire people who disagree with God’s timeless design for marriage and relationships. The president ignored the request of faith leaders across the country who urged him to include a strong religious exemption. The order mandates federal contractors and subcontractors to give special rights in the areas of “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” in the workplace. Christian colleges and organizations are not exempt. Peter Sprigg, senior fellow for policy studies at the Family Research Council, said Obama’s order bullies those who have “moral objections to homosexual behavior.” “Religious faith is not simply a matter of intellectual affirmation but of active practice,” he explained. “A religious organization which is denied the power to require its employees to conduct their lives in a way consistent with the teachings of their faith is an organization which is being denied the right to exercise its religion, period. People with deeply held convictions regarding the morality of certain types of sexual behavior should not be bound by the dictates of President Obama’s agenda.”

o Electorate awakens: Obama gas and mortgage groupie now says he lied about everything [VIDEO] Written by Allen West - Remember that South Florida woman who had her fifteen minutes of fame claiming Obama would pay for her mortgage and gas? Before the 2008 election, she was filmed saying “I won’t have to worry about putting gas in my car, I won’t have to worry about paying my mortgage. If I help him, he’s going to help me!” Well, documentary filmmaker Joel Gilbert tracked down Peggy Joseph to see how all that hope and change is working out for her and six years later, she’s had a complete change of heart. After living through Obama’s failed economic policies, she now says “he lied about everything.”

o MSNBC Anchor Resigns; Admits to Spreading “Lies on Behalf of Obama” - According to inside sources, MSNBC host Alex Wagner, host of “NOW with Alex Wagner”, resigned from her post today after 2 1/2 years with the network citing ethical and moral concerns. In a resignation letter obtained by National Report, Wagner claims she has been spreading “lies on behalf of Obama” and using her position with MSNBC to “falsely promote a brutal dictator.” Wagner goes on to say, “I have spent my entire professional career working toward a position based on false pretenses.  I have worked hard to obtain a position with a major news network and expected to be reporting on serious issues.  Instead, I am handed Pro-Obama scripts and asked to be a mouthpiece for the administration.”

o ‘Straight White Guy’ Festival Outrages Same-Sex Marriage Supporters / BY SEAN BROWN / It’s often said that the same people who promote “gay pride” parades and other such events that promote a certain race or lifestyle would get upset should heterosexual or white people hold similar gatherings, even though they claim to be for equality. A series of joke flyers that were placed around an Ohio town has proven what many of us have known to be true.

o Masterpiece Theater: Cake Drama Continues in Colorado (FRC.org) If you think Colorado’s Masterpiece Cakes will give in to homosexual bullies, then you don’t know Jack. Jack Phillips, the owner of another Christian bakery under attack, is refusing to cave to the state’s ridiculous demands after he turned down an order for a same-sex “wedding” cake. With help from our friends at Alliance Defending Freedom, the baker and his family are fighting Colorado’s order that he check his religious beliefs at the door of his business and participate in the same-sex “marriages” Christianity rejects. “Americans should not be forced by the government -- or by another citizen -- to endorse or promote ideas with which they disagree,” said attorney Nicholle Martin. “This is not about the people who asked for a cake; it’s about the message the cake communicates. Just as Jack doesn’t create baked works of art for other events with which he disagrees, he doesn’t create cake art for same-sex ceremonies regardless of who walks in the door to place the order.”
For now, the case heads to the Colorado Court of Appeals where Jack and ADF will battle for the religious freedoms the Supreme Court just upheld for companies like Hobby Lobby. “If a couple were to come in and ask me to do an erotic cake for a wedding, I would refuse to do that as well. These are my personal standards taken from Jesus Christ and the Bible.” Good for Jack. He’s a living example of what the apostle Paul calls Christians to do in the face of persecution: stand. You can’t win if you don’t fight, and thank goodness ADF and the Phillips are.

o Elizabeth Warren Backs Corporate Welfare Bank - By Conn Carroll - Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) may market herself as a progressive populist, but when forced to choose between everyday Americans and billion dollar international corporations, Warren sides with the corporations. “Senator Warren believes that the Export-Import Bank helps create American jobs and spur economic growth," Warren spokeswoman Lacey Rose wrote in an e-mail to Bloomnberg News, "She looks forward to reviewing re-authorization legislation if and when it is introduced."
In fact, the Export-Import Bank does not create any net jobs. Whatever jobs it does create for the corporations it subsidizes are lost by non-subsidized businesses. In reality, all the Export-Import Bank really is, to quote then-candidate Barack Obama, is "little more than a fund for corporate welfare." This is why President Ronald Reagan proposed shrinking the Export-Import Bank saying at the time, "We’re doing this because the primary beneficiaries of taxpayer funds in this case are the exporting companies themselves–most of them profitable corporations."

o Obama vs. Reagan (PatriotPost.us) Barack Obama strutted to the podium for a stump speech in Delaware Thursday, just after the Soviets Russians shot down a Malaysian airliner. He began his remarks with just 38 seconds discussing the plane. “[I]t looks like it may be a terrible tragedy,” he said. “May be”? He then noted his national security team would stay on it, and quickly returned to his regular programming – beginning with jokes about Joe Biden. By contrast, when the Soviets shot down Korean Air Lines Flight 007, Ronald Reagan, who was on vacation in California at the time, immediately canceled all events to return to the White House. When Reagan addressed the nation about the shoot-down, there was no equivocation. He called it “a massacre,” a “crime against humanity,” an “act of barbarism.” Obama, on the other hand, went on joking about Joe Biden and slamming Republicans. As Red State’s Erick Erickson put it, “Reagan led. Barack Obama could learn from the last guy from Illinois to sit in the Oval Office.” More…

o A Loss of Sovereignty Disguised as Compassion - By Ileana Johnson - We don’t seem to have concern for the millions of Americans who are currently suffering in our own country. We don’t have pity, empathy, and the money to treat the elderly properly. We don’t have care and mercy for our sick veterans whom we treat with indifference and cruelty. But we have selective compassion and humanity for the fellow human beings from Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala. After all, they are allegedly poor victims and United Nations wants to give them refugee status. They are refugees from their own mismanaged and corrupt governments whom they put in power time after time because they believe bigger governments are good. These shady governments are so crafty at what they do that they enrich themselves at the public socialist trough while keeping their citizens impoverished and suffering economic hardships.
   - Is it compassionate to sneak foreign children and adults with active and incurable tuberculosis among unsuspecting American communities?
   - Is it humane to infect healthy populations with measles, Chagas disease, lice, scabies, incurable TB, STDs, swine flu, rubella, and pneumonic plagueDiseases are not selective. They do not distinguish between liberals and conservatives, rich and poor; they are equal opportunistic contagions.
   - Is it tolerant and merciful to release MS-13 gang members, rapists, murderers and drug dealers among our U.S. population while denying entry to white, healthy, and educated Europeans?
   - Is it compassionate to allow disease, crime (human trafficking, drug smuggling, gangs, murder, property theft and destruction), and Islamic terrorists enter our country unchecked?
   - Is it kind to steal from one group of people and give to the invading hordes from foreign countries who are not really fleeing a war zone?
   - Is it compassionate to force our own citizens to work hard to pay taxes and then give this money away to illegals who have broken the laws of our country?

o The Moral Difference Between Israel and Hamas - By Steven Bucci - What most Americans—and the world—hear about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas goes something like this: “125 Palestinians, most of them civilians, have been killed by Israel’s relentless assault on Gaza. No Israelis have yet been killed.” This may be true, but there is absolutely no context to it. One must look at the methodologies of the two sides.
Hamas sets up rocket launchers—as well as supply dumps and command-and-control sites—in the midst of apartment buildings, mosques and schools. From these sites, its fighters launch dozens of rockets in salvos, targeting population centers with no discrimination at all. They have been firing almost continuously of late. But normally, they fire when Israeli school children move from their homes, which have safe shelters, to their schools, which also have shelters. They do this deliberately to try and catch the kids in the open. They don’t seek to minimize collateral damage – they seek to maximize it.
Israel, on the other hand, fires only at specific, intelligence-derived military targets. Since these targets are deliberately intermixed with the civilian population by Hamas, Israel must take steps to minimize the collateral casualties. Before the Israelis strike a building, every home in it gets a call on its landline phone, as do all the cell phones associated with the inhabitants of the building—the cells additionally get text messages—telling them that in a few minutes the building will be targeted. Finally, to make sure everyone gets the message, Israel drops a dud bomb—one containing no explosives—onto the roof of the structure. Minutes later, the building is destroyed. There is no instance in modern military history where a force has taken greater measures to give the innocents as much chance to get out of the way. It is as “discriminant” as a modern military can be.
Additionally, Israel has developed its much-touted—and rightly so—Iron Dome rocket defense system, which renders most of Hamas’ efforts of no effect. Between the Iron Dome shooting down the rockets that might otherwise do damage, and the “Red Alert” app that alerts civilians on their cell phones in real time when a terrorist rocket attack is launched, and where it is headed, the civilian casualties in Israel have been negligible. Israel just wants to be left alone; Hamas wants the destruction of Israel. There is no moral equivalence there, and the tactics of the two sides prove the point.

o Social Security Insolvent, Voters Say 'Do Nothing' (PatriotPost.us) The main driver of the ballooning federal debtis wealth transfer payments. Indeed, more than two-thirds of the federal budget is money that goes from one taxpayer’s pocket into someone else’s. Some of this is naked wealth redistribution, like food stamps and other welfare. But much of it is what some call “earned” payments, like Social Security and Medicare – money that has been taken from workers' paychecks for decades with the promise of a retirement return. The solvency of these programs, however, is in jeopardy.
Social Security already runs an annual deficit – about $200 billion this year – which will only grow worse as fewer workers support more retirees. From the start, politicians have raided the Social Security “trust fund” and spent the money on other general fund projects, leaving the program as a wealth transfer one instead of an investment as it’s billed. Economist Walter Williams explains, “What the Treasury Department does is give the Social Security Trust Fund non-marketable ‘special issue government securities’ that are simply bookkeeping entries that are IOUs.”
Now that benefits paid exceed taxes collected, the problem has become acute. According to the Social Security board of trustees, in 1945, there were 42 workers for every retiree; the current ratio of three workers to every retiree is unsustainable. Strictly speaking, Social Security is not a Ponzi scheme, in part because it’s not against the law. Indeed, it is the law. (Try not paying payroll taxes – a.k.a., “investing” in the system.) But it is structured exactly like a Ponzi scheme, and it will eventually fail for the same reasons.
Of the gap between Social Security taxes collected and benefits paid out, The Wall Street Journal’s William Galston writes, “To close that gap while maintaining scheduled benefits, we would need to enact an immediate increase in the payroll tax rate from 12.4% to 15.9%. For workers earning $50,000 a year, that would mean a tax increase of $900, nearly 2% of gross income. And employers would have to match it. For workers making the maximum now subject to payroll taxes (a bit under $120,000), taxes would rise by $2,100.”
If the income cap were lifted, workers at higher incomes would face an even more staggering tax increase. And yet as it stands, the payroll tax is regressive in that it hits lower income families disproportionately. If the income cap were doubled, it still wouldn’t fix the problem. Galston notes, “One might imagine that such a sizable increase in covered earnings would be enough to stabilize the system for the long term. In fact, the CBO calculates, it would reduce the imbalance by only 30%. Indeed, eliminating the cap and taxing all earnings would solve just 45% of the problem.”
Meanwhile, the expected return on the 12.4% in Social Security withholding from our income is practically criminal. Consider the potential return of investing 12.4% of a typical middle class income in indexed mutual funds, where decent investments would yield perhaps multiple millions of dollars over 30 years. Over a retirement span of 20 years or so, annual withdrawals could be six figures while still leaving a good chunk of change making money. Compared to that, Social Security looks like the poorest investment ever concocted. In fact, from that perspective, Social Security is stealing our money by mandating that it do something for us in a worse way than we can ourselves. Or put it another way. Financial advisers often recommend putting 10% to 15% of your income toward “retirement” (whatever that means to you). The potential return on that 15% over 30 years is fantastic. Unfortunately, Social Security is already taking over 12%, while giving us miserable returns. So for savers, Social Security is costing us significant returns that we could have realized but won’t. What a “safety net.”
In spite of the facts, Social Security has always been one of the most popular programs the federal government runs, and the overwhelming choice of voters is to do nothing to fix it – let alone returning to the constitutional norm of the federal government staying out of your retirement. So we understand politicians desperate for votes not wanting to touch this beloved system. But Social Security is built on a half-truth at best, and it’s unsustainable.

o The Rise of a ‘Dangerous Judiciary’ - by Kim Trobee - When the Founding Fathers were forming the judiciary, Alexander Hamilton envisioned it to be the least dangerous branch of the new Republic. Today’s activist courts are a far cry from the interpreters of the law that they were supposed to be. So what’s gone wrong?
“In the last 200 years, what we’ve seen is the political branch, the Congress, has given much of their lawmaking abilities, especially when it comes to controversial social issues, to the courts to decide,” said Bruce Hausknecht, legal analyst with Focus on the Family. “Why have they done this? Simply because politicians are held accountable by the voters on a regular basis for bad laws that they make. Judges, many of whom are appointed for life, are hardly that accountable.”
We see this in the egregious attack against God’s design for marriage. Activist judges continue to strike down voter-approved state constitutional marriage amendments. Same-sex marriage has been created in the District of Columbia and 19 states, either by court order or legislation. All 50 states now have had their marriage law or amendment attacked. Appeals are pending in 13 of these cases.
Judges have traditionally been held in high esteem because of their position, whether they were elected by a vote of the people or appointed. Even so, Hausknecht says giving them free rein is not the best course of action. “They are very trained in the law,” he said, “but they are no more qualified to single-handedly direct the future of this country than you or me. The wisdom of our Founders was that, collectively, we could all determine our future. They set up a system of checks and balances and a separation of powers in order to keep the judiciary from becoming the legislature. That’s the ideal that we have to get back to.”

o REPORT: AT LEAST 35 DISNEY WORLD WORKERS ARRESTED SINCE 2006 ON CHILD SEX CHARGES - by BREITBART NEWS - A new report says an alarming number of Disney World employees have been arrested in recent years for alleged child sex offences. Thanks to tactics similar to ones used on TVs To Catch a Predator, law enforcement officials have snared at least 35 employees at the family destination since 2006. One worker was accused of watching child porn while on the job, according to The Daily Mail citing a CNN investigation.
The latest round of arrests last week netted another 13 suspects, including four who at some point worked at the sprawling Magic Kingdom. Disney has insisted the theme park is so large, with around 70,000 employees, that those arrested represent only 0.01 per cent of people it has employed since 2006.
One law enforcement official wants Disney to take action on the matter by starting a mandatory polygraph tests before new hires join the company. The report also included similar allegations at other destinations attractive to young children, but the numbers attached to Disney World were more than other sites combined.
The CNN investigation found far more child sex arrests at Disney than at Universal Studios, which had five, or SeaWorld, which had two. One of those from Universal caught in the latest sting was 23-year-old Matthew Cody Myers - who told detectives he had previously worked in food service at Disney, and at Sea World....
'He admitted to detectives that he solicited the conversation about sex and came to the residence with the mindset to have unprotected sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl.

o FEC 'Loses' Hard Drive (PatriotPost.us) First it was the IRS claiming its hard drives containing vital emails “crashed.” Then the EPA asserted the same. Now the Obama administration apparently believes the third time’s a charm. The FEC says a hard drive belonging to vociferously pro-Obama official April Sands who resigned earlier this year for violating the Hatch Act was – surprise! – recycled. Sands, who formerly worked with Lois Lerner, conceded wrongdoing in promoting Obama’s re-election before her departure from the agency. But without the evidence, “FEC OIG could not pursue criminal prosecution for the misconduct,” says House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA). The FEC has until July 28 to hand server documentation and backup procedures over to the committee. For an administration that prides itself in transparency, it sure is inept – and astoundingly criminal. More…

o My Response to ‘Native American’ Elizabeth Warren and her '11 Commandments of Progressivism’ - by Gary DeMar - Speaking at Netroots Nation, a convention for liberal bloggers and activists, Elizabeth Warren outlined her “11 Commandments of Progressivism.” My brief commentary follows:
   1. We believe that Wall Street needs stronger rules and tougher enforcement, and we're willing to fight for it.
There is no single entity called Wall Street. What we really need are stronger rules and tougher enforcement on Washington that bails out faltering companies and banks. Washington spends money it does not have. Elected officials like Warren steal from the working class so they can give it to non-workers who will continue to vote to keep politicians like Warren power. There is an unhealthy relationship between government and business that only the free market can fix.
   2. We believe in science, and that means that we have a responsibility to protect this Earth.
Actually, Progressives don’t believe in science or they wouldn’t support same-sex sexuality (the biology and anatomy are all wrong), evolution (something from nothing), and the skewed and manipulated numbers that go into fabricating the crisis of Global Warming, Climate Change, and now Climate Chaos. Furthermore, if Progressives truly believed in science, they would engage critics of Global Warming in debate. Instead, the claim is made that “the debate is over.” Progressives don’t want debate because there’s too much money in a global “crisis” like global warming.
   3. We believe that the Internet shouldn't be rigged to benefit big corporations, and that means real net neutrality.
Governments should keep their hands off the internet. Once any type of control is given, there is no end to it. Progressives will end up controlling the oversight committees that make the laws and turn the internet into a State-run media congolmerate. Those supporting net neutrality tell us that it would not be directed by the government; that it would make the internet more free and open. Don’t you believe it. If a liberal like Elizabeth Warren is behind it, it must be a bad idea for freedom. The internet is doing just fine. Businesses are created every day. The little guy can be up and running in a day. See “Killing Net Neutrality Helps Underdogs Succeed.”
   4. We believe that no one should work full-time and still live in poverty, and that means raising the minimum wage.
Calls for raising the minimum wage are ongoing. Once again, the government should get out of telling companies what they should pay. They are already burdened with paying the employer’s side of Social Security and Medicare and unemployment compensation tax. This says nothing about insurance, rent, upkeep, training, inventory costs, etc. Raising the minimum wage will force some employers to let employees go because of increased costs. The extra work will be passed on to the more experienced retained employees.
   5. We believe that fast-food workers deserve a livable wage, and that means that when they take to the picket line, we are proud to fight alongside them.
Liberal policies already control the marketplace. Who will define a “livable wage”? The government will. There will be no end to what a livable wage might include: a certain size house; so much for food each month; a clothing allowance; paid vacations; transportation; education, birth control, etc. The most inexperienced workers will be shut out because of hiring expenses. The less qualified will find it harder to get a job. Teen unemployment will rise. “[M]inimum-wage legislation discriminates against teenage black males. This has been known by economists since at least the mid-1950s. The statistical evidence on this was overwhelming.” Walter Williams argues: “‘How does someone who is part of a group that is discriminated against find a way to prove to somebody doing the discriminating that his assessment is incorrect?’ It was really this question: ‘How do undesirables break through the discrimination against them?’”
   6. We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt.
Entitled? Should I be forced to pay for the education of other people? No one forced these people to go into debt. No one has to go to college. There is no requirement that a college education has to be completed in four years. No one is forcing anybody to go to expensive schools. The case could be made that government money and cheap educational loans increases the cost of college.
   7. We believe that after a lifetime of work, people are entitled to retire with dignity, and that means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and pensions.
Who will be made to pay for bankrupt pension programs? Should I be forced to pay? Our government enacted legislation that gave us Social Security and Medicare. They have grown in scope far beyond their initial implementation. Medicare is bankrupt. Warren’s solution is more taxes.
   8. We believe — I can't believe I have to say this in 2014 — we believe in equal pay for equal work.
There’s no such thing as “equal work.” All types of factors go into hiring and paying. If employees are not happy with what they are paid, they can (1) start their own business or (2) look for another job. I can’t believe I have to say this in 2014, but it’s no business of the government what an employee is paid.
   9. We believe that equal means equal, and that’s true in marriage, it’s true in the workplace, it's true in all of America.
Warren wants “equality” in everything. Forced equality leads to poverty. Equality before the law is the goal, but not equality in everything. There is no such attainable ideal unless we’re talking about Communism. But even with Communism, some people are more equal than others. There already equality in marriage. No one is stopping two people from getting married as long as they are of different sexes. The law has been equally applied. Changing the definition of marriage by claiming that people of the same sex can marry is not equality; it’s insanity.
   10. We believe that immigration has made this country strong and vibrant, and that means reform.
This is one of her “commandments” that I and millions of others can agree with. The question is, however, what types of “reforms” do Progressives want?
   11. And we believe that corporations are not people, that women have a right to their bodies. We will overturn Hobby Lobby and we will fight for it. We will fight for it!
Try owning and running a corporation without people. Corporations are owned by people, whether it’s one person or a group of people. Corporations are people. When Warren and her liberal thugs want to force their economic agenda on a corporation, who pays? People! Did people from Enron and WorldCom go to jail? Berrnie Ebbers of Worldcom was sentenced to twenty-five years in a federal prison. If corporations aren’t people, then why do they pay taxes, and why is Ebbers in prison?
One of the reasons the “corporations aren’t people” argument keeps coming up is because of the intrusive nature of government. Congress passed and the Supreme Court upheld the passage of the Affordable Care Act. Now the government has direct control over healthcare. As a result, for every question about the Act’s applicability and enforcement, the government must decide.
Warren and her ilk want to control every area of life, even unborn children by allowing women to kill them. They want to empower the State to force companies to pay for abortifacients that kill unborn babies. Women have a right to control their bodies, but they should not have the right to kill an unborn body that is not their body. As has been reported over and over again, Hobby Lobby did not deny any woman anything. Warren wants power to force companies to pay for healthcare that she wants to define.
More could be said on all these topics. Elizabeth Warren is the new face of the Democrat Party.

o Influential Women of the Reformation - By Justin Holcomb - All too often, the textbooks focus solely on the men of the Reformation—Luther, Calvin, Cranmer, and others—and fail to take notice of the faithful women who served among, beside, and with the Reformers. These women were dedicated to the gospel of Jesus Christ, some to the point of martyrdom. Many of these women were well-educated, especially by the standard of their time. They read theology books, especially the Bible, and anything they could get their hands on from the reformers. Their inner circles of friends were part of long and frequent Bible studies. Most were wives and mothers. Some were also authors, apologists, ex-nuns, and queens. All were faithful servants of Jesus.  (Click link for details on each woman.)

o In Undercover Videos, Planned Parenthood Suggests Sadistic Sex to Teen Girls - By Kelsey Harkness - This report and video contain graphic language about disturbing practices.  “Choking,” “whipping,” and “tying up” are a few of the sadistic sexual behaviors Planned Parenthood staffers in Denver were caught on camera promoting to underage girls as part of Obamacare-supported “sex education” inside their facilities. Today, in two undercover videos released by the pro-life group Live Action, counselors  for Planned Parenthood are seen offering advice about “BDSM”— a practice  in which sexual partners beat, lash, or otherwise inflict pain on each other — to girls who the staffers think are 15- and 16-year-olds.
The videos, “Sex-Ed Two: Planned Parenthood’s Dangerous Sex Advice for Kids,” are part of Live Action’s nationwide campaign to spread awareness of Planned Parenthood’s track record: The motto at Planned Parenthood seems to be ‘sex with no strings attached.’ Teens are told they can have sex whenever, however, with whomever, as long as it’s contracepted. In the undercover footage, staff for Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains tells minors that “sexual exploration is normal.” One counselor suggests the 15-year-old read the erotic novel “Fifty Shades of Grey” and search online “to see kind of how they execute it.”

o Health survey gives government its first large-scale data on gay, bisexual population - By Sandhya Somashekhar - Less than 3 percent of the U.S. population identify themselves as gay, lesbian or bisexual, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Tuesday in the first large-scale government survey measuring Americans’ sexual orientation. The National Health Interview Survey, which is the government’s premier tool for annually assessing Americans’ health and behaviors, found that 1.6 percent of adults self-identify as gay or lesbian, and 0.7 percent consider themselves bisexual. The overwhelming majority of adults, 96.6 percent, labeled themselves as straight in the 2013 survey. An additional 1.1 percent declined to answer, responded “I don’t know the answer” or said they were “something else.”

o Sick: 100% of Democrat Senators Vote for Late-Term Abortion Up to Nine Months of Pregnancy - By : Cassy Fiano - If, say, a baby was born a month premature and then killed, it would be considered murder — but do the same thing a minute before the baby moves out of the birth canal, and Democrats are A-OK with it. How sick and depraved must your mind be to be in favor of something so despicable?

o Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution, 1833 - “Let the American youth never forget, that they possess a noble inheritance, bought by the toils, and sufferings, and blood of their ancestors; and capacity, if wisely improved, and faithfully guarded, of transmitting to their latest posterity all the substantial blessings of life, the peaceful enjoyment of liberty, property, religion, and independence.”

o Former Homosexuals Rise Up to Declare that Jesus Christ Can Change the Homosexual --/Christian Newswire/ -- Newly released documentary "Such Were Some of You" confronts the rising tide of popular opinion by chronicling the stories of 29 former homosexual men and women who say that Jesus Christ has transformed their lives. Experts in psychology, (Dr. Julie Hamilton), biblical scholarship (Dr. Robert Gagnon) and ministry (Dr. Neil Anderson) add their voice to the claim that people have been leaving homosexuality for millennia.
Created to be used in Sunday School classes, support groups and other group settings, "Such Were Some of You" has been designed as a discipleship and equipping tool for the Body of Christ. The "witnesses to change" describe how they developed homosexual confusion, what the gay lifestyle was really like, how Jesus Christ set them free and the many ways that He has been healing and transforming their lives ever since. Participants include ex-gays from numerous ethnic backgrounds and age brackets, including one former gay activist who dramatically declares at one point, "I am free!"
This two-hour documentary is available on DVD in a "Regular Edition" and a "Leader's Edition" (which includes a Discussion Guide and a license to screen the video in group settings). o Lawmakers Throw Light on Secretive ‘Operation Choke Point’ - By Kelsey Harkness - Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, is calling for the dismantling of what he calls a secretive initiative launched by the Obama administration in early 2013. Critics say that Operation Choke Point, so dubbed by Department of Justice officials under Attorney General Eric Holder,  seeks to weed out businesses from the marketplace that the Obama administration considers objectionable. According to The Wall Street Journal, it was an outgrowth of the Financial Fraud Task Force, established by President Obama’s executive order early in his first term.
The initiative, Issa said last week, is a slippery slope: “If you empower the government to pick winners and losers within a lawful enterprise, then there is no place to stop.” Initially, in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, officials targeted small-dollar, nonbank lenders. But it grew to include other legal, legitimate businesses such as gun dealers and tobacco vendors at Walmart and Bass Pro Shop. Issa, speaking on Operation Choke Point at Cato Institute, called it “proactive, progressive activity” by government against banks and other legitimate businesses.

o Obama’s Approval Rating Among Muslims at Historic Highs - by Gary DeMar - Across the board, President Obama’s approval ratings are low for a president who has been touted as America’s political Messiah. Even so, I’ve wondered how with all the mess the nation is facing how his approval rating could still be in the 40 percent range. The most recent poll has him at around 45 percent. His approval rating among blacks is very high – around 85 percent. That’s to be expected. Although more than 95 percent of blacks voted for him in two national elections, his numbers are down slightly among this core constituency. Keep in mind that poll numbers include several factors. One factor is that he's not being liberal enough.
There’s another group that is skewing the numbers higher: Muslims. In the 2012 presidential election "close to 90 percent voted for President Obama." As a recent poll shows, that number is down slightly, but it's still very high. The following is from Politico:

“President Barack Obama’s approval rating is higher among Muslims than any other religious group, a new poll says. “According to a Gallup poll released Friday that tracked responses for the first six months of 2014, 72 percent of Muslims said they approve of the president, compared with just 20 percent who disapprove.
“Mormons were the least approving religious group, with 18 percent of Mormons approving and 78 percent disapproving of the president. Mormons in the past have ranked as the most conservative major religious group in the U.S.
"The survey underscores a religious divide when it comes to presidential approval — Obama is more popular among non-Christians and less popular among Christians.
“Those who classify as ‘Other non-Christian’ gave the president a 59 percent approval rating, while Jewish Americans gave Obama a 55 percent approval rating and atheists or those who subscribe to no religion have a 54 percent approval rating.
“Catholics, on the other hand, have only a 44 percent approval rating of Obama, compared with 51 percent disapproval. Protestants and other Christians are more critical, with 37 percent approving and 58 percent disapproving.”

We need to keep in mind that there is a bottom to his numbers. There is a floor to which Obama’s approval ratings will never drop below. No matter what he does or how bad things get, there will always be people who will support him. There’s no dissuading them.
Allyn Root explains it well: “Keep in mind that Obama has the support of about 35% to 40% of the population that will NEVER abandon him, no matter what he does, no matter how bad the jobs numbers look, no matter how low the economy goes, no matter how much scandal and corruption is exposed, no matter how strong the facts are against him. Nothing will ever change their minds. These are the ‘low information voters’ of the Democratic Party.”
These voters believe that it’s not Obama and liberalism that’s failed. In their low information minds, it’s conservatives that stand in the way of liberal policies that are the real problem. If taxes were higher and government regulated our lives more, we would be living in a near utopia. Detroit isn’t the fault of failed liberal policies; it’s those rich bastards that brought destruction to the Motor City. No amount of reasoning will convince them otherwise.

o Muslim Terrorists Declare “Sexual Jihad” Raping and Killing Christians - By Onan Coca - Muslim “holy” warriors are taking the war to innocent women and children, having declared a sexual jihad on women of the Middle East. ISIS terrorists in Iraq and Syria have begun pulling women and girls from their homes and raping them whenever they feel the need. The Iraq High Commission for Human Rights is reporting that ISIS has begun demanding a poll tax (or jizya) from Christians in Iraq. Christians who cannot pay the tax are in terrible danger; one family who could not pay was attacked by ISIS terrorists who raped the mother and daughter in front of the husband/father. He was so distraught that he committed suicide.
Another report from the area said that ISIS had murdered four Christian women for not wearing traditional Islamic veils. ISIS is spewing its evil filth all over the Iraqi and Syrian countryside and no one is safe from them – whether Muslim or Christian. But the evil ISIS monsters seem to take particular joy in hurting innocent women and children. The Christian enclave of Bartella, just outside of Mosul, is bathed in fear as they await the oncoming ISIS onslaught.
...Reports of forced “jihad marriage” are rampant across ISIS occupied territory. Yanar Mohammed, the OWFI President explains. Women "are being kidnapped from their house by the ISIS warriors and forced into what they call a 'jihad marriage.'" Jihad marriage, also known as "sexual jihad," is a term for women who willingly offer sexual comfort to fighters to assist the cause of establishing Islamic rule. In the cases to which Mohammed refers, however, the women are not volunteers. They are forced. Over the past week, 18 women were taken from their houses and raped by ISIS in Mosul, according to the latest news obtained by Mohammed.
The monstrous activities of ISIS are boundless -- these terrorists truly have no shame. In fact, their actions are so disgusting that even some terrorists are worried about the impact ISIS’s depravity may have on worldwide Islam.

o Rep. Campbell: Government, IRS, EPA Are ‘The Police State’ - By Ali Meyer - Rep. John Campbell (R-Calif.) called the government, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) “the police state” at a Financial Services Committee hearing at the Capitol on Thursday. At the July 10 hearing, Legislation to Reform the Federal Reserve on Its 100-year Anniversary, the Federal Reserve Accountability and Transparency Act (HR 5018) was discussed, legislation which would require “the Federal Reserve to provide the Congress with a clear rule to describe the course of monetary policy.” The act would also require the Fed to conduct cost-benefit analysis, require transparency on bank stress tests and international financial regulatory negotiations, and would order the Fed to disclose the salaries of highly paid employees.

o Schumer to Religious Americans: Pick One--Your Faith or Your Business - By Eric Scheiner - At a press conference Thursday, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said people with religious beliefs who disagree with the Obamacare contraception mandate should be given a choice between living by their faith or being allowed to form a corporation to do business. “You’re born with a religion or you adopt a religion. You have to obey the precepts of that religion and the government gives you a wide penumbra – you don’t have to form a corporation,” Schumer said.

o Oil Boom Continues (PatriotPost.us) U.S. oil production has enjoyed a 60% increase over the last six years, mainly due to fracking, which allows the extraction of shale oil from the massive Bakken Formation in North Dakota and the Eagle Ford Formation in south Texas. The domestic oil boom is so great, in fact, that the U.S. has surpassed both Russia and Saudi Arabia in production. Dan Steffens, president of the Energy Prospectus Group of Houston, says the domestic oil boom is saving drivers a ton at the pump. “With what’s going on the Middle East, I think [gas] would five or six bucks [a gallon],” Steffens said. “If it wasn’t for the shale revolution, you’d be in big trouble.” Indeed, it’s much needed good news. More…

o The Bible and borders - By Bryan Fischer - The Scriptures make it clear that national sovereignty, including clearly defined borders, is God's idea. In Acts 17:26, we read, "And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place..." (Emphasis mine throughout.) Two things, we are told, are under God's sovereign control: how long a nation lasts, and where its borders are. The verb translated "having determined" is the Greek verb "horizo," from which we get the word "horizon." It means "to mark out, to define." So God has marked out and defined the borders of each country. Our southern border is there by God's design. To disregard it, to treat it as if were not there, to regard it as something not worth respecting and defending, is an insult to the God who put it there for our benefit.
The bulk of the second half of Joshua is a record of the promised land being divided up among the 12 tribes. What is striking is how thorough and detailed the description of each tribal boundary is. In Joshua 15 the word "boundary" is found no less than 15 times in describing the perimeter of Judah. For instance, here's the description of the southern boundary: "It goes out southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, passes along to Zin, and goes up south of Kadesh-barnea, along by Hezron, up to Addar, turns about to Karak, passes along to Azmon, goes out by the Brook of Egypt and comes to its end at the sea. This shall be your southern boundary" (Joshua 15:3-4). Such detailed delineations go on for chapter after chapter.
...In a largely forgotten passage, Numbers 20:14-21, we read that Moses sought permission from the king of Edom to cross his border and pass through his land. When permission was refused, Moses didn't force his way in; he respected the king's decision and went around Edom to the East. Moses couched his original request this way: "Please let us pass through your land. We will not pass through field or vineyard, or drink water from a well...we will not turn aside to the right hand or to the left until we have passed through your territory."
The king's response? "You shall not pass through." Moses tries a second time to secure an entrance visa. "We will go up by the highway, and if we drink of your water, I and my livestock, then I will pay for it. Let me only pass through on foot, nothing more." The king of Edom was utterly impervious to this plea for so much as a tourist visa. "You shall not pass through." How did Moses react to this denial of permission to immigrate into and through the sovereign territory of another nation? Did he barge ahead anyway? Try to sneak in under cover of darkness? Did he launch a military strike to secure passage? Nope. "Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his territory, so Israel turned away from him."
The lesson? Each nation's sovereignty is marked by its boundary, and each nation has the moral right to decide who will be given permission to enter its sovereign territory. Moses recognized this, and so should we. The only exception is under circumstances of a just war. Bottom line: borders are biblical, and are there by God's sovereign design. And they are to be respected by everyone.

o There Used to be Bipartisan Support for Religious Freedom. What Happened? - By Kelsey Harris - 1993 The Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which was cited in the Supreme Court decision ruling that the government cannot force Hobby Lobby to provide health care coverage of abortion-inducing drug & and devices was wildly popular on both sides of the aisle. Co-sponsors of House bill: Pelosi, Gingrich, Schumer - Voted for Senate bill: Reid, McCain, Murray - ALMOST NO Republicans OR DEMOCRATS VOTED AGAINST THE Blll: Unanimous House Voice Vote - Passed Senate 97-3. (Now Reid and Murray have changed their minds.)

o California Removes ‘Husband,’ ‘Wife’ from Marriage Law - by Kim Trobee - Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill Monday that removes the words “husband” and “wife” from California marriage law. Bill sponsor Sen. Mark Leno called the terms “outdated and biased” and suggested they be replaced with more neutral terms such as “spouse” or “married persons.”
“Words are, without doubt, one of the key tools used to shape thought,” writes Sarah Jean Seman on Townhall.com. “This alteration in the state law is the next step to easing gay unions into cultural acceptance.”
Jeff Johnston, sexuality analyst for Focus on the Family, said the push to redefine marriage is in full swing.“People ask, ‘How does redefining marriage affect me?’ Well, this is one way,” he said. “The very words we use are changed and called ‘biased and outdated.’ Our language for marriage — husband and wife — is being excised and neutered. Words are important, they have meaning. Children growing up in this ‘brave new world’ will be taught that marriage is about ‘equality,’ rather than the truth that marriage unites a husband and wife with each other and any children that come from their union.”

o Five Marxist Books I Found at NOW's National Conference in Chicago - By Katie Pavlich - Typically people think about the National Organization for Women as a women's rights group. It isn't. NOW is a front group for the promotion of socialist and Marxist policies in America and I have proof. Last year I attended the annual NOW National Conference in Chicago (didn't go to this year's conference, I probably would have been kicked out anyway). Here's a sampling of the material I found while I was there and a short excerpt from my new book Assault and Flattery: The Truth About the Left and Their War on Women.
Marxist teaching is not a tiny fringe part of the modern, militant feminists' agenda. It is its centerpiece.  From the time of Karl Marx through the 1960s and up until today, the progressive women's rights movement has hardly been about women's rights at all but instead about a transformation of American society and the transfer of wealth through government force. Women's rights have simply acted as a veil to distract away from the true intentions of progressive activists.
Socialist literature sold at the annual NOW conference declares the family system as the origin of female oppression and lays out half a dozen fundamental "errors" of the family.  "Closely intertwined with the origins and character of women's oppression is the question of the family. The resolution reaffirms that the family system is an indispensable pillar of class rule. It is the historical mechanism for institutionalizing the social inequality that accompanies the rise of private property and perpetuating class divisions from one generation to the next," the Education for Socialists says. "Because the family system is indispensable to the structuring of social inequality, the economic dependence of women and their oppression within the family system is likewise indispensable to class rule."  Further, this material states Marxists are "the only ones who have answers to the very fundamental questions posed by the feminist movement," and that the answers must be perpetuated through women's liberation literature.

These were just the five books I decided to purchase (strangely enough they weren't free, people actually wanted money for them, which I found ironic), there were many more with the same Marxist theme available. o Spending and Morality - By Walter E. Williams - Is it moral for Congress to forcibly use one person to serve the purposes of another? I believe that most Americans would pretend that to do so is offensive. Think about it this way. Suppose I saw a homeless, hungry elderly woman huddled on a heating grate in the dead of winter. To help the woman, I ask somebody for a $200 donation to help her out. If the person refuses, I then use intimidation, threats and coercion to take the person’s money. I then purchase food and shelter for the needy woman. My question to you: Have I committed a crime? I hope that most people would answer yes. It’s theft to take the property of one person to give to another. ...The bottom-line question is: Does an act that’s clearly immoral when done privately become moral when it is done collectively and under the color of law? Put another way, does legality establish morality?
...James Madison, the acknowledged father of our Constitution, said, “Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government.” In 1794, when Congress appropriated $15,000 to assist some French refugees, Madison stood on the floor of the House of Representatives to object, saying, “I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.” Today’s Americans would crucify a politician expressing similar statements.
There may be nitwits out there who’d assert, “That James Madison guy forgot about the Constitution’s general welfare clause.” Madison had that covered, explaining in a letter, “If Congress can do whatever in their discretion can be done by money, and will promote the general welfare, the Government is no longer a limited one possessing enumerated powers, but an indefinite one.” Thomas Jefferson agreed, writing: Members of Congress “are not to do anything they please to provide for the general welfare. … It would reduce the (Constitution) to a single phrase, that of instituting a Congress with power to do whatever would be for the good of the United States; and, as they would be the sole judges of the good or evil, it would be also a power to do whatever evil they please.”
The bottom line is that spending is not our basic problem. We’ve become an immoral people demanding that Congress forcibly use one American to serve the purposes of another. Deficits and runaway national debt are merely symptoms of that larger problem. (See also: Mandating Charity)

o Justice William O. Douglas (1898-1980): "A people who extend civil liberties only to preferred groups start down the path either to dictatorship of the right or the left."

o Even Leftists Question Obama's Immigration Policies (PatriotPost.us) Barack Obama is in Texas doing four fundraisers instead of visiting the geographical line that passes for a border. ...Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) says, “This isn’t a funding problem, it’s an enforcement problem. … I’d be happy to give the president $3.7 billion to secure the border if I thought he’d actually do it. But time and again President Obama has shown that he cares more about the interests of illegal immigrants than of law abiding citizens. Congress shouldn’t give President Obama a single penny until we see him use the current resources to secure the border, increase interior enforcement, and reduce illegal immigration.”
...Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) complained, “With all due respect to the administration, they’re one step behind. They should have seen this [flood of children] coming a long time ago.” Not only that, Cuellar said, “If he wants to do the fundraisers first and then after that stop by the border, it’s not too far away. I think it would be good for him to put a face to it, but, again, it looks like he’s dug in, not wanting to come.”
...USA Today’s Susan Page described the border mess as a potential “Katrina moment” for Obama. “This is unacceptable to more than Republicans on immigration, the situation we have there,” she said. “And boy is that going to anger some of his core constituents who have wanted him to do more on immigration, not less.” The trouble with her analogy is that George W. Bush didn’t create the hurricane.
...It’s not surprising to see hurt feelings in the media, though, as Media Research Center President Brent Bozell observed: “Imagine after Katrina that reporters are getting ready to go to New Orleans, and the Bush administration says to reporters, ‘Now one thing: no recording devices, no questions, no interacting with staff or children, no photos and no interviews. But other than that you can cover Katrina,’” he said. “The response would be that this is the statement of a dictatorship.” And yet too often they’re barely able to muster any real criticism of Obama. The president may wax eloquent about “humanitarian” needs, but make no mistake – he will use the kids flooding across the border as nothing more than political pawns to advance his agenda.

o Why Food Inflation Is Ignored (PatriotPost.us) Politicians insist that inflation is under control, just so long as you don't include food, education, health care, housing, or energy...

o Brandeis University Capitulates to CAIR; Withdraws Honor from Woman Fighting Islam’s Oppression of Women (Thomas More Law Cente) Brandeis University has become the latest entity to capitulate to the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ (CAIR) campaign to silence critics of Islam. In an open letter to Brandeis University, CAIR, using their typical ploy to silence critics, personally attacked Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who was to receive an honorary degree from Brandeis for her “work to protect and defend the rights of women and girls.”
In their letter, CAIR refers to Hirsi Ali as a “notorious Islamophobe” and compares honoring her with “promoting the work of a white supremacist.” Somali-born Hirsi Ali was raised in a strict Muslim family and after surviving a civil war, genital mutilation, and beatings, fled to the Netherlands in 1992 to escape a forced marriage. As a member of the Dutch Parliament from 2003-2006, she fought to raise awareness to the plight of Muslim women especially within Muslim immigrant populations.
Hirsi Ali’s criticism of Islam and efforts to raise awareness to Islam sanctioned violence has resulted in death threats both abroad and in the United States. For over a decade, Hirsi Ali has spoken out against such practices as female genital mutilation, “honor killings,” and applications of Sharia Law that justify beatings and rape. Her outspoken criticism of Islam was dubbed by CAIR as “anti-Muslim hate” and led Brandeis University President, Frederick Lawrence, to comment in an online statement that her criticisms were “inconsistent with Brandeis University’s core values.”
Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center (TMLC) commented, “First, the University of Michigan capitulated to CAIR, and now it’s Brandeis.  Sadly, too many groups lack the moral courage to say “No” to CAIR.  And as long as CAIR’s bullying tactics work on some weak-kneed Americans, they will continue their efforts to silence the truth about Islam.”

o The Cloward-Piven strategy explains how Obama benefits from immigration crisis - By James Richard Edwards - There are three possible explanations for Obama’s repeated and astounding failures: He’s stupid; he’s incompetent; his actions and decisions, and the repercussions produced there from, are intentional. Obama is not stupid, and it is a stretch of the imagination to believe someone as educated as Obama, along with all of the Ivy League scholars who surround him, could be as incompetent as the continuous string of failures and crises that seem to plague Obama’s administration suggest.
For lack of better explanations, many observers have come to believe — especially considering Obama’s orchestration, encouragement and lack of response to the current immigration crisis — that his actions and their results must be intentional. Obama has always believed that America and the values that have made it the most exceptional in the world are oppressive. They produce inequality, unfairness and disenfranchisement for minority groups. Therefore, since before he even assumed office, he has made it clear that he wants to disassemble the foundational values that have made America great in order to remake it in the image of a progressive utopia that many radical leftists believe will provide for a better, fairer, life for all Americans.
On the eve of the presidential election in 2008, in a rare unscripted moment, Obama said, “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” In order to fundamentally transform America, the values and constitutional structure that represent the fundamentals that this country is founded upon must first be torn down.
...To accomplish this goal, Obama is following a popular theory among progressives that is designed to bring down America’s constitutional structure and capitalist economy, which was first developed by two of his radical professors at Columbia. According to David Horowitz of DiscoverTheNetworks.org, “First proposed in 1966 and named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, the Cloward-Piven Strategy seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.”
Cloward and Piven first introduced this strategy in an article in The Nation magazine in 1966 titled, “The Weight of the Poor.” The strategy has also been defined as the theory of forcing change through chaos/crisis. Horowitz explains, “They (Cloward and Piven) proposed a “massive drive to recruit the poor onto the welfare rolls.” They calculated that persuading even a fraction of potential welfare recipients to demand their entitlements would bankrupt the system. The result, they predicted, would be “a profound financial and political crisis” that would unleash “powerful forces … for major economic reform at the national level.”
...Cloward and Piven came to the realization that in order to fundamentally transform the United States of America, they would need to have an extremist who truly believed the transformation of America was in the best interest of the American people and the country in general; enter Barack Obama, their radical disciple at Columbia. The current immigration crisis was created and encouraged by Obama; the administration’s complete lack of a response to it is the strongest evidence that Obama is not stupid or incompetent, but is instead implementing this strategy. Studies repeatedly show that illegal aliens in America have much higher rates of welfare usage than do native Americans. Therefore, to expedite overwhelming the welfare system — the core tenet of the Cloward-Piven strategy — flood the country with illegal aliens and make sure to deport as few of them as possible. Obama has done just that.
...In order to stop Obama, Americans must become aware of what he is doing and rise up against it, as New Yorkers did after the city declared bankruptcy in 1975. However, we cannot wait until Obama bankrupts the country. Let’s just hope and pray that it isn’t already too late.

o Harry Reid doesn't think there are any billionaire Democrats. - Did he forget about George Soros, Pat Stryker, Elon Musk, Warren Buffet, and Tom Steyer? Not only have each of them given hundreds of millions to Democrats, but they've also gotten even filthier rich off the Leftist policies pushed into law by their Crony's Harry Reid and Obama.
•   George Soros - hired an Obama Energy Departed official to run his green-energy investment fund;
•   Elon Musk - benefited from the Reid/Obama passed Stimulus and green subsidies -- not to mention cashing in on extensive federal contracts in a pay to play scheme;
•   Pat Stryker - a mega Democrat donor with "mega" return on investment for his solar panel company through green-energy subsidies;
•   Warren Buffet - raked in profits from the Left's government bailouts; AND
•   Tom Steyer - made opposition to the Keystone Pipeline a profitable industry.

o Romney was Right about Second Obama Term - by Dave Jolly - During the 2012 presidential campaign, Republican candidate Mitt Romney warned Americans about what would happen if Barack Obama was re-elected. Sadly, the majority of the American people have been so dumbed and numbed by our socialist public education system and the liberal mainstream media that they failed to heed Romney’s warnings. It’s been a year and half since was Obama was sworn for his second term and already some of Romney’s warnings are coming to fruition. Among those warnings are: Russia - Iran - Israel - Illegal Immigration - Corporations

o Historian Alexis de Tocqueville (1805-1859):  "Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude."

o Constitution, Not Illegal Immigration, Is 'Central to Our Way of Life' By Cal Thomas - At a July 4 White House naturalization ceremony for more than two dozen foreign-born service members, President Obama said welcoming people to America is 'central to our way of life.' No, what is central to our way of life is the Constitution, which protects our freedoms. Historically, we have conditionally granted under the law a safe haven for those 'yearning to breathe free.' There is no constitutional right for anyone to come to America, or become a citizen. ... The one promise President Obama is keeping is to 'fundamentally transform the United States of America.' He is transforming the country by flooding it with illegal immigrants that will result in creation of a new permanent underclass beholden to government and thus the party of government, the Democrats.

o D’Souza’s ‘America’ Uncovers a Generation of Liberal Lies by Rev Michael Bresciani - The film (America, Imagine the World Without Her) deals with generational lies that have slowly crept into the national dialogue, educational system and the political rhetoric of the left. The shear persistence of these lies and the willingness to lay these prevarications before an unsuspecting generation of our youth as ‘true history’ has fostered a kind of ‘new truth’ that after all is nothing but syncopated, syndicated, deliberate and dangerous lies meant to lead America into a day of self-loathing and inordinate guilt. But is the film fair?
In fact, the opening elements of the film are all about the history and the narrative of the modern view of our past. So much time was given to these views that I began to wonder if D’Souza was leaning liberal. Yet, he gave each element full time and explained each view without bias or coloration. Some of the subjects outlaid are:
   - The question of whether America actually had Christian foundations
   - The Horrors of the Slave trade in America
   - The mishandling of Native Americans
   - The great land grab from Mexico
   - Theft of other nation’s wealth and colonialism
   - The ‘unjust’ waging of war in Vietnam
   - The creeping effect of socialism and its origins
When these subjects have been fairly presented D’Souza offers what renowned commentator Paul Harvey coined as – “the rest of the story.” Using an an array of facts, historical honesty and bare knuckles attacks on liberally biased accounting of events, Dinesh goes round after round to win the match between a generationally long swindle of the American narrative and the simple truth that America has much more to be proud of than she has to be ashamed of; in fact, it is the false narrative of history, now taught to every school kid that is - the real shame.
As an example, the view that all Native Americans were abused, displaced and subject to genocide is countered with the truth about the warring and constant displacement of tribes done by the Native Americans themselves. The picture painted by today’s historians, of a perfectly balanced nation of natives, all happily just living off the land, and never taking more than they needed, and living in perfect harmony with nature and each other, is seen as a naïve. Tribes were always warring and cruelty, slavery and genocide was commonly practiced by many tribes – long before Europeans arrived.
In the mid-eighties, I was able to spend some time in the beautiful state of Oregon where I found a Kalapuya Indian mound about fifty miles south of the Columbia River. The mound is a raised area where the natives camped. Musing through thousands of broken arrow heads and other artifacts I came across a large “L” shaped rock that was covered with some sort of inscription. It could be held in hand and looked like it may have been a tool of some kind. After inquiring at the home of a local collector and historian of the tribe I discovered that the ominous looking rock was a “slave killer.” It was used to kill any slave won through raids and conquests and who dared to attempt an escape.
Slavery was practiced by many tribes in this country not just the Kalapuya. This knowledge is not used here or in any other historical context to besmirch the history of Native Americans, but is only a call to a more honest view of history. This is exactly the kind of thing D’Souza repeatedly accomplished in his film.

o What America needs most: personal responsibility - By Madeline Crabb - America has become a nation of whining, sniveling, belly-aching, finger-pointing, excuse-making, and justifying, grumblers and complainers. Absurd, you say? Not. And as for me, I am sick and tired of it. Be honest...don't you agree? Or does the statement describe you? ...Nobody is responsible for their personal behavior. Every action is justified by blaming someone else, or some circumstance. We are no longer responsible for anything we do.
...True, blaming someone else for our personal behavior began in the Garden of Eden. In chapter three of Genesis in the Holy Bible, we read about Adam and Eve. After receiving specific instructions from God, Eve was deceived by, chose to believe the serpent/devil, and ate forbidden fruit. Adam chose to be "charmed" by Eve to eat of the same fruit. Thus, the first sin and disobedience to God were committed. God was NOT pleased. Consequently, He had to pronounce judgment on them because of their disobedience – their sin.
...In the Garden of Eden, Adam was told he would have to toil for a living. In the New Testament, we are taught: "The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat." (2 Th. 3:10 NIV) Don't misunderstand, there are those who truly are unable to care for themselves, and we should be caring for them – a role of the Church and other charitable institutions. But the government started interfering in this area, and has thus taken away the incentive to work and exercise personal responsibility, creating a class of victims.
...Sadly, there are far too many parents who bear children, but then hand-off the responsibility of teaching their kids to someone else. Newsflash: If you have kids, they are YOUR responsibility. Not mine, or school teachers, or even the State. And if we all raised our kids in the way they should go, per Bible teaching, then when they are grown, they won't depart from those ways. (Prov. 22:6) But even if our own parents didn't do a good job, there is still no excuse when we become adults that we can't function properly. There are still enough role models for us to learn from. Choosing victimhood is not the answer.
Basically, we all make our own beds and then must sleep in them. Americans need to wake up. Nobody is owed anything by any other human being. We are allowing our government to force us into taking care of a bunch of deadbeats who refuse to do even the simplest of jobs to care for themselves. It's not just food and shelter they get from the government, which is funded by those who actually work and pay taxes – there are lots of other freebies. It's become a sort of "cottage industry" in seeing how much one can get from the government. Can anyone say Obama-phone? Yes, let's be sure that all deadbeats in America can sit on their ever-expanding backsides and talk and text for free. But again, nothing is free. Everything given away to someone istaken from someone else! And quite frankly, some of us are sick and tired of it!
...First of all, God hates grumbling, complaining, arguing, and fault-finding. Throughout Scripture, God punished complainers. We are told, "Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation." (Php 2:14 NIV)
..."But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them." (2 Tim. 3:1-5 NIV)
This is the picture of America in 2014. And this mess didn't just happen. We all must take responsibility for this state of affairs. Will we continue pointing fingers at others for our individual and corporate condition, thus perpetuating the mess, and bringing punishment upon ourselves, or will we take a look at the man/woman in the mirror, take personal responsibility for our sins and disobedience, and begin to make a change? Again, just as God punished Adam and Eve, He will punish us. Dear friend, don't think that any of us can continue to "pass the buck" regarding our own behavior, that God doesn't care, or doesn't really punish people. He does care, and still punishes. Personal irresponsibility is sin in God's eyes. When we grumble and complain, we are really doing so against God, which is also sin. And the Bible says the wages of sin is death. (Rom 6:23) So what does America need most? Personal responsibility. We need to STOP our whining, sniveling, belly-aching, finger-pointing, excuse-making, justifying, grumbling and complaining, and become responsible human beings. God has given us instructions. Isn't it time we started to obey? To anyone willing to hear....

o 1 Samuel 15:23 - For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry...

o Winds of Favoritism (PatriotPost.us) Looks like the Obama administration is playing favorites. The Washington Times reports, “Last week, the Fish and Wildlife Service ruffled feathers by issuing what officials called a first-of-its-kind permit that allows a 50-turbine Northern California wind farm to kill up to five golden eagles over five years. In exchange, the developer agreed to retrofit 133 utility poles to reduce eagle deaths by electrocution.” This is just an example of the government rewarding one if its darlings. The government is holding up Keystone Pipeline permits over threatening the habitat of the American Burying Beetle, while giving wind energy a free pass. More…

o Politicians, Corporate Sponsors Redefine Equality at Columbus Pride Parade - By Linda Harvey - The Democratic candidate for Ohio governor, Ed Fitzgerald, shook my hand on High Street in Columbus at the June 21st “Pride” parade honoring LGBT lifestyles. Eager to show support for what many Ohioans consider radical moral upheaval, Fitzgerald and numerous supporters in “Fitzgerald for Governor” T-shirts worked the crowd — on both sides of the street, so to speak.
While they were shaking hands, someone was handing me a packet with two condoms from the AIDS Resource Center of Ohio, a group presumably targeting the reduction of HIV cases (outside of discouraging behaviors that spread the infection).
Not having an immediate use for a condom — let alone two — right there on High Street at that particular moment, I returned to taking inventory of the candidates courting the votes of thousands of observers and participants. Attorney General candidate David Pepper was on hand, along with John Patrick Carney for state auditor; candidates for U.S. Congress Scott Wharton and Bob Hart; state representative candidates Heather Bishoff, Mike Stinziano, and David Leland; Columbus city council candidate Andrew Ginther; and Democrat candidates for judge Chris Brown, Tom Hayes, and William Woods, along with Republicans Valoria Hoover and Fred Nelson. Democrat Jennifer Brunner, running for judge, wore a tie-dyed rainbow shirt while smiling and waving from atop her convertible.
Rainbow–clad floats featured scantily-attired, proud gay and lesbian advocates, drag queens and gyrating pole dancers. They followed the opening ceremonial entries, where three flags were carried in tandem: the Stars and Stripes, the Ohio flag, and a rainbow flag. Following the flags was a group touting equality for Boy Scouts, presumably wanting adult homosexual males to be allowed to be Scoutmasters, since boys themselves can now be openly homosexual within their troops.
The state’s foremost homosexual group, Equality Ohio, predictably had one of the larger contingents of  marchers.
What may not have been expected, however, is the reaction of one little girl among them who stood agape at the tight, revealing Speedo attire of the grown man next to her. In fact the parade was full of children, who probably had little say in being hauled along with a parent or caretaker to celebrate LGBT interests and agendas.
Nor was equality and tolerance shown for a brave African-American lady who stepped out in front of the parade, only to be “escorted” to the sidewalk. Clad in white, she held a cross high above her head and wore a T-shirt reading, “Jesus Died for Our Sins.” She was last seen receiving a stern lecture by a group of diversity proponents.
Businesses and retailers marched in abundance and not always in the best of taste. An enthusiastic male was astride a large foil phallic symbol on Chipotle’s “Big Buckin’ Burrito” float. Kroger and Giant Eagle showed their support. Discover Card had decided that it pays to be LGBT. Huntington Bank marchers, including several children, wore matching shirts. JP Morgan/Chase marchers held a sign reading “Just Be You” in rainbow colors, either unconscious or unbelieving that participants identifying as “transgender” were doing everything possible to not be “you.” US Bank urged us to “Celebrate Pride,” while WesBanco encouraged people to “Embrace Diversity.” Macy’s was highly visible with its red star balloon floating high above the crowd  Their employee group displayed a sign that read “Pride and Joy.”
Not to be outdone, JCPenney marchers told us that “Love is Love—Don’t Hide Your Pride.” Indeed, JCPenney has been quite visibly supporting the LGBT cause in recent years by featuring ads with two women and two men in parent roles. The retailer certainly isn’t hiding its “pride” for this radical cause.
Nationwide Insurance was on “Pride” members’ side, along with Battelle Memorial Institute’s Prism group, and American Electric Power’s Pride Partnership. Are these employees approving of diversity across the board, including a welcoming attitude toward fellow employees who support only man/woman marriage? One hopes.
Planned Parenthood marchers in pink won the award for tragic hypocrisy, carrying a sign that read, “Love Makes a Family. Planned Parenthood Supports All Families.” Exceptions probably would include those who reject aborting one of their members, families with strong pro-life values, those not intentionally motherless or fatherless, and those supporting authentic marriage.
Teens from Kaleidoscope Youth Center marched with adult advisors. This center accepts kids twelve and over to drop in and hang out, learning all about gay and transgendered lifestyles, with no parents notified and no questions asked. Teachers and children from Columbus City Schools proudly walked the parade route as well, passing along this valuable lesson to an impressionable younger generation. TransOhio featured a marcher who appeared to be a shirtless man. A close-up revealed the surgical scars below the breasts, indicating breast removal by this woman, who desperately wants to be considered a male.
Homosexual clubs from area schools, called “gay/straightalliances,” also made an appearance. Among those from the Wellington School, an elite private institution in Upper Arlington, was a sign-holding girl who appeared to be about ten years old. Another GSA from Chamberlain/ Devry also marched, with one adult holding the hand of a small boy. The award for the bravest entry goes to “Muslims for Progressive Values.”
And then there were the churches. King Ave and Summit United Methodist churches were on hand, smiling, waving, singing “praise” songs. Signs read, “Who Would Jesus Hate?” and “The Lord is My Shepherd and He Knows I’m Gay.”  We were also told that, faulty theology notwithstanding, “Jesus Had Two Daddies and He Turned Out Okay.” The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America proudly displayed an enormous sign and many supporters. The First Unitarian Universalist Church sign bragged that their minister had been openly gay for 36 years. And of course the homosexually-centered Metropolitan Community Church was on hand.
Predictably, there were mockers of faith. A costumed “Jesus” riding with a nun on a motorcycle held a sign, “God Loves Everyone.” And they probably hope He also loves all behaviors, even though He’s already been pretty specific about that. Certainly no behavior, trivial or heinous, can outflank his forgiveness. Unfortunately, that’s a less popular message. And nudity? There was a little, but less than in previous years. Does that mean gay advocates have cleaned up their act?
I wouldn’t bet on it. But I would close my account by pointing out the “redeeming social value” of these displays. Where did I put that again? Oh, that’s right. Next to my condoms.

o Declaration of Dependence - by Mark Steyn - You know, when you go back and look at some of the things Mitt Romney was saying, for example, about the economy in 2012, it made a lot of sense: The economy's a disaster, the economy's a bust, Obama hasn't been able to jump start the economy. And I think the response of a big sliver of the American people was that that's all the more reason to vote for more permanent multigenerational government dependency, which is a very sad thought for the eve of Independence Day. But a lot of Americans, particularly the ones who supplied his margin of victory, voted for a kind of Big Government nanny, because Obama has so flatlined the economy that they don't want to take their risks out there in the new normal, and they'll cling to nanny's apron strings in the service of government dependence, a very sad thought.

o Apollo Astronaut: Climate Alarmism Is the ‘Biggest Fraud in the Field of Science’ - 97% Climate Consensus ‘Most Nonsensical, Stupid Number in the World’ By Craig Bannister - "In the media, it was being called a theory. Obviously, they didn't know what it means to be a theory," says Apollo 7 astronaut Walter Cunningham who has a B.S. in Physics (with honors) from University of California at Los Angeles and an M.S., with distinction; Institute of Geophysics And Planetary Sciences, with completed work on Doctorate in physics with exception of thesis. "If we go back to the warmist hypothesis - not a theory, but, a hypothesis- they've been saying from the very beginning that carbon dioxide levels are abnormally high, that higher levels of carbon dioxide are bad for humans, and they thought warmer temperatures are bad for our world, and they thought we were able to override natural forces to control the earth's temperature. So, as I've looked into those, that's the problem that I've found, because I didn't find any of those to be correct - and, they certainly were not a theory, it was just their guess at what they wanted to see in the data they were looking at." Cunningham urges Americans to look at the data and decide for themselves, instead of taking anyone else's word for it: ...

o Illegal immigration...you can solve it this way, or you can shut up! - By Maureen Scott - Okay – here's a challenge for all who are clamoring that we/our government/our country should take care of the thousands of illegal immigrant children being dumped across our borders and that those children should not be returned to their home countries: Whether you are one of the hypocritical Hollywood elite who lives the high life, yet expects others to sacrifice, or a wealthy "One Percenter," residing in luxury with no idea of the difficulties involved in meeting expenses, or simply living comfortably but on a budget; whether you are working, or retired; whether you are Democrat, Republican, or an Independent – it does not matter. This applies to everyone who is whining and advocating that Americans should be compassionate and responsible for the thousands of children that foreign parents have abandoned on our soil.
There are plenty of people who like to misquote the Bible and state that we are told to be our "brother's keeper," and that is why the government should provide all social welfare services. But they don't really understand what was meant. God did not mean that helping one another or taking care of the less fortunate is a job you turn over to the government. He meant that is a job for each person...YOU...as an individual...should be helping. It does not make you a "good person" in His eyes when you just pass the responsibility onto others. That is simply a cop-out. That is not what God intended for us, nor is it honoring His word.
So, if you are truly sincere in your belief that we should house, clothe, feed, and provide medical care and even employment to the illegal immigrants – many of whom are sick, carrying diseases, do not speak English, have no job skills, and have no love of our country, but who have only come here for the "freebies" that they can gobble up from us – then:
   1. Sign the form below and volunteer to take one of these children (or adults) into your home. If there is a mother with several children, take them all. Give up one or more of your own bedrooms, share your money, your home, your food, your clothing, your time with them.
   2. Make it your job, not the taxpayers via the government, to help these desperate children who are migrating illegally into our country and sapping the time, money, and resources of our government employees and medical staffs.. In other words: Use your own resources to advance their well-being..
   3. Agree to teach them English, take them to school, see that they learn a trade or viable skill, and most of all agree to help them to study, pay for, and complete the necessary steps to become patriotic, legal, naturalized citizens of the USA who will love this country and honor its traditions and flag.
   4. Share this solution with your friends and those who say we should help these illegals and see how many others you are able to convince to join you and pledge their help in this manner and who sincerely believe that stewardship starts with the individual, not with the politicians in Washington.
   5. Print and send the form message below to the President, with your signature and prove to him, and everyone else how compassionate you truly are and how much you are willing to forfeit in order to help another. Confirm that you are no longer copping out and simply passing to the government the task of supporting these children.
...Now, if you want to demonstrate that you practice what you preach...copy and print the section below, sign it, and mail to Obama. Are you ready to accept the job you have been pushing off on others? Let's see how many of you who talk the talk...can walk the walk! ...(Much more at the link.)
