The Cloward-Piven Strategy

An Orchestrated Economic Crisis

The Democrat strategy to overload the American public welfare system, bankrupting the Nation, creating a crisis that Democrats will "not let go to waste" to mandate more control over every aspect of our lives by imposing a Socialist/Marxist/Communistic "beehive" state of a Declaration of Dependence undermining the Declaration of Independence.

Consider the Democrat agenda for open borders, climate hoax, public school & college indoctrination, mainstream Marxist media, & big tech silencing free speech, and "social justice" judges that eschew the Constitution.

The Demos' Socialist Cloward-Piven Pivot  - What objectives and strategies do the Democrat Party and CPUSA have in common? - By Mark Alexander - So, what objectives and strategies do the Democrat Party and CPUSA have in common? Well, how much time do you have? Most notably, both are advocates of the Cloward-Piven Strategy, which is the '60s-era brainchild of two hard-left academics to "end poverty" by creating an economic crisis that would lead to the collapse of capitalism resulting in its replacement with socialism.
As one of our political analysts, Arnold Ahlert, wrote: "In 1966, Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven formulated the Cloward-Piven Strategy. It was a plan to overthrow America's capitalist system by overloading the welfare state bureaucracy with demands that were impossible to meet, thereby precipitating a revolution." Ahlert noted that the latest "effort to 'crash the system'" is to overload it with illegal immigrants. This explains the Demos' 2020 platform: "Open Borders and Free Stuff."
Indeed, the party that was once the champion of blue-collar workers now supports the greatest threat to labor, wage growth, and the economy overall: the influx of millions of illegal aliens competing for jobs, willing to take lower wages, and soaking up enormous taxpayer resources in terms of medical care, welfare, housing, and education.
According to Cloward and Piven, to achieve their goal, it would necessitate "a massive drive to recruit the poor onto the welfare rolls," followed by "a federal program of income redistribution ... necessary to elevate the poor en masse from poverty." That income redistribution would take the form of "a guaranteed annual income and thus an end to poverty." Except the only thing that's equal under socialism is poverty, except, of course, for the political class.

America's Economic and Spiritual Woes - By Bob Pue - ...We're now living in a society that has learned to depend on Big Government for all their needs. It's become multi-generational. Indeed, there are many who know no other way of life. Understand, I have no problem helping the poor and needy. As Christ-followers, we are called to help the poor. This is commanded throughout Scripture. (Deuteronomy 15, Proverbs 19:17, 22:9, 28:27, Matthew 19:21)
...When government does it, it's simply a redistribution of financial resources. In other words, theft. The government steals the paychecks of the workers so they can enslave the non-workers, lulling them into a mind-numbed sense of entitlement and complacency. ...So these government handouts are not "benefits," and they certainly aren't benefitting anyone, except the politicians seeking to dumb people down and keep them controlled. Just look at the state of our impoverished inner cities. Because the Nanny State takes care of them, there's no incentive to work, no incentive to strive for something better, or for people to better themselves. (2 Thessalonians 3:10 - For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.)
...And we have to refuse to take the bait that results in slothfulness. Because dependence on the government for so-called "benefits" always results in government enslavement. ...It's just easier to take the handouts, which are actually bribes, because those who get the free stuff will always support those who supply the free stuff. But friends, there ain't nothin' "free." Those handouts come with a price. A lifetime of poverty and dependence.
... And while our government leaders keep giving themselves raises, usually several times a year, our elderly subsist on Social Security payments that haven't kept up with the cost of living for a very long time now. I have no problem with people drawing Social Security. It was their money to begin with, that was stolen from them, mismanaged by the thieves, and of course, taxed not once, but twice, when they earn it, and when they get a pittance of it back in retirement. What a racket.
...Our economic system must be destroyed to make way for the global digital New World currency, at which time, our enslavement will be complete. No longer will it just be those taking the "free cheese" from the government trap. They're planning to trap all of us, whether we like it or not. ... Our enemies within the government meant their plans for evil, but if Christ-followers rise up and begin to push back against this wicked agenda, this can be a time like never before in history to save souls.

Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis By James Simpson - One of two things must be true. Either the Democrats are unfathomable idiots, who ignorantly pursue ever more destructive policies despite decades of contrary evidence, or they understand the consequences of their actions and relentlessly carry on anyway because they somehow benefit. I submit to you they understand the consequences. For many it is simply a practical matter of eliciting votes from a targeted constituency at taxpayer expense; we lose a little, they gain a lot, and the politician keeps his job. But for others, the goal is more malevolent - the failure is deliberate. Don't laugh. This method not only has its proponents, it has a name: the Cloward-Piven Strategy. It describes their agenda, tactics, and long-term strategy.
The Strategy was first elucidated in the May 2, 1966 issue of The Nation magazine by a pair of radical socialist Columbia University professors, Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. David Horowitz summarizes it as: The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The "Cloward-Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.
Cloward and Piven were inspired by radical organizer [and Hillary Clinton mentor] Saul Alinsky: "Make the enemy live up to their (sic) own book of rules," Alinsky wrote in his 1989 book Rules for Radicals. When pressed to honor every word of every law and statute, every Judeo-Christian moral tenet, and every implicit promise of the liberal social contract, human agencies inevitably fall short. The system's failure to "live up" to its rule book can then be used to discredit it altogether, and to replace the capitalist "rule book" with a socialist one. (Courtesy Discover the Networks.org)
Newsmax rounds out the picture: Their strategy to create political, financial, and social chaos that would result in revolution blended Alinsky concepts with their more aggressive efforts at bringing about a change in U.S. government. To achieve their revolutionary change, Cloward and Piven sought to use a cadre of aggressive organizers assisted by friendly news media to force a re-distribution of the nation's wealth.

Obama using the economic crisis to push socialism - President Obama pledged to expand the tentacles of government further into our lives than ever before when he said that government will watch over your children "from the day they are born"!

Socialist Party presidential candidate Norman Thomas wrote: "The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened." ...Nineteenth-century historian Alexis de Tocqueville once observed, "Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude." ...Some have suggested that Socialism is a Biblical concept, but the Bible places the burden of responsibility for stewardship on the individual, while Marx, FDR and his Leftist successors advocate that the state should enforce redistribution of wealth. In failing to discern this distinction, FDR set the stage for the entrapment of future generations by the welfare state and the incremental shift from self-reliance to dependence upon the state -- ultimately the state of tyranny.  Useful Idiots on the Left

To The Democrats, You're Just A Groupie By Michael Reagan - The big difference between Republicans and liberal Democrats is the way each party views people. Republicans see us as individuals and respect our God-given human dignity. To liberal Democrats, we're not individuals; we're members of a herd with all the dignity of a cow or pig dependent on its owner for daily rations of hay or slop. Democrats see us as being white or as blacks or as straights or as gays, or as lesbians or as heterosexuals, or as rich or poor, or as Christians or as Jews or as Muslims, or as young or as old, as working or as retired, or as housewives or as career women. They submerge us into pools that define us as members of groups instead of as what we are as God sees us, -- as any father sees his children -- each being different from one another, and each child being a separate and distinct individual with his or her own specific talents and abilities, and all deserving of his love. Republicans see us all as Americans, all united in our desire to see this nation grow and prosper, and be safe and secure, and to provide opportunities to everyone no matter our group membership.

There are three questions that I think would destroy the left if people could ask them: "What are the facts?" "What are the consequences of what you are going to do?" And "What is the trade-off?" Thomas Sowell
