accomplish "Death is more eligible than
slavery. A free-born people are not required by the religion of Jesus Christ
to submit to tyranny, but may make use of such power as God has given them
to recover and support their liberties..."
The men of Marlborough,
Massachusetts who took part in the Boston Tea Party The current
initial Tea Parties have successfully drawn attention in expressing
discontent with government at all levels. The momentum is building and April
15th may
well be a turning point in transforming “We
the sheeple” back into “We
the people.”
"No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor
can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and Virtue is
preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and
debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without
the Aid of foreign Invaders." Samuel Adams The overall statement of the Tea Parties must not only be one of discontentment against “our elected officials,” but must produce an incentive and common goal that every American who can vote, will vote. "Providence
has given our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well
as privilege and interest, of a Christian nation to select and prefer
Christians for their rulers."
John Jay Will the Tea Parties produce a greater number of those who
possess the same Biblical moral virtue of America’s Founders than that of
today’s “politically correct” secular progressives?” The only way to prevent what
Thomas Jefferson warned, that
"The tree of
liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and
tyrants” is by what he also said: “Should
things go wrong at any time,
the people will set them to rights by the peaceable exercise of their
elective rights.”
"A
compromise which results in a half-step
toward evil is all wrong."
Theodore Roosevelt. The challenge: How many gun owners
do not vote? Yet their “right to keep and bear arms” is being “infringed.”
The same can be said of apathetic Christians who forsake Christ’s call to
“rebuke and reprove the world of sin,” yet repeatedly vote for incumbents
who align themselves with anti-faith, anti-family factions.
This apathy and complacency
is just as culpable as it has allowed the “progressive” left to dominate and
replace the
American Way of Life
with the
Politically Correct Way of Life.
The
mainstream news media, public and “Higher” education, and now government
have become deceitful indoctrination tools in the quest for historically
failed socialism, as well as for unproven theories such as global warming.
Until
“We the people” rebuke and reprove this secularism in favor of the same
Biblical moral virtue of America’s Founders, our descendants will never
experience the liberty that comes from God. "The rights of man come not from
the generosity of the state but from the hand of God."
John F. Kennedy Will the Tea
Parties of 2009 result in “We
the people” vowing to vote against
incumbents across America, the tax and spend liberal socialists masking as
Democrats and the RINOs
masking as Republicans? Any politician that compromises the fiscal,
military, and moral well-being of a free America and free enterprise needs
to be replaced for a return to a government of, by, and for the people and
not of, by, and for the government and funded by subservient tax payers.
"I place economy among the first and most important virtues, and public debt
as the greatest of dangers to be feared. To preserve our independence, we
must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. If we run into such
debts, we must be taxed in our meat and drink, in our necessities and in our
comforts, in our labor and in our amusements. If we can prevent the
government from wasting the labor of the people, under the pretense of
caring for them, they will be happy."
Thomas Jefferson
President Obama has said America is not a Christian
Nation. This display not only reveals his ignorance of America’s Heritage
but his total disregard of the myriad of Founders quotes stating just the
opposite. He
is the secular left’s quintessential byproduct of their deliberate and
intentional rewriting and omission of history. These misleading deceptions
are by design, for the purpose and advancement of “progressively”
transforming America from a Republic and “liberty
from God,”
to that of a tyranny, where liberty is mandated according to secularism.
"It cannot be
emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not
by religionists, but by Christians; not on
religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ! For this very reason people of
other faiths have been afforded asylums, prosperity and freedom of worship
here."
Patrick Henry "Without morals a republic cannot
subsist any length of time; they therefore who are decrying the Christian
religion, whose morality is so sublime and pure...are undermining the solid
foundation of morals, the best security for the duration of free
governments." Charles
Carroll
"The general
principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general
principles of Christianity." …"Let
the pulpit resound with the doctrine and sentiments of religious liberty.
... Let it be known that...liberties are not the grants of princes and
parliaments."
…"[D]emocracy
will soon degenerate into an anarchy, such an anarchy that every man will do
what is right in his own eyes and no man's life or property or reputation or
liberty will be secure, and every one of these will soon mould itself into a
system of subordination of all the moral virtues and intellectual abilities,
all the powers of wealth, beauty, wit and science, to the wanton pleasures,
the capricious will, and the execrable cruelty of one or a very few."
John Adams
